Los Angeles Dodgers OF Matt Kemp sought out OF Yasiel Puig and exchanged words with him in the dugout Monday, Sept. 15. Kemp may have been angry that Puig didn't go first-to-third on a single to right field by 1B Adrian Gonzalez. It sounded like it wasn't the first time the Dodgers' tempers have flared at one another. Several sources have described the clubhouse atmosphere as "dysfunctional."

Los Angeles Dodgers SP Dan Haren has become a very reliable rotation arm for the team since Aug. 1 after he allowed seven runs (six earned) in 4 1/3 innings to the Chicago Cubs. In his last seven starts, Haren is 5-1 with a 1.70 ERA, 34 strikeouts and seven walks in 42 1/3 innings, and his batting average on balls in play has sunk to .227. He started the year going 4-0 with a 2.39 ERA in his first six starts, and then he had a 14-start stretch where he had a 6.04 ERA. Haren said he has made "some real small mechanical changes," but won't go into details. Manager Don Mattingly said Haren's mechanical tweaks have given him some "late life" on his offerings.
