Fantasy Tip: Holland has reported few difficulties recovering from a strained pectoral muscle, but you may want to wait a game or two before putting him back in your lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Orlando ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is starting in place of Lorenzo Cain, who is serving his two-game suspension. Orlando has had some success recently with six hits in his last six games but is only has four RBI this season. Owners on FantasyScore likely will be able to find better options.

Fantasy Tip: Paulo Orlando ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) could receive a few starts while Cain serves the suspension. Orlando has had a decent start to the season with a .250 batting average, five triples and four RBI. He could be a cheaper option on FantasyScore, but owners should be able to find better options to use.

Fantasy Tip: Hosmer ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) has nine hits, two home runs, two doubles and five RBIs in his last five games, and his hot bat comes at a great price at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Morales ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) also has nine RBIs in his last four games, and he is hitting .323 with 20 RBIs for the year. He is a steal at FantasyScore at his current price.

Kansas City Royals SS Alcides Escobar (head) is not 100% and was placed on the 7-day concussion disabled list Friday, May 1, according to manager Ned Yost. Yost noted they will not take any chances with Escobar, and Yost expects Escobar will fail the impact test he underwent.
Fantasy Tip: Christian Colon ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is starting for Escobar ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) Friday, and Colon projects to see the bulk of starts until Escobar returns. Colon is a nice low-priced flier for FantasyScore players, as he handles the bat well. Through 75 career at-bats Colon is a .307 batting average.

Kansas City Royals 3B Mike Moustakas, who has been a dead-pull hitter for most of his career, has 15 opposite-field hits this year and having 18 all of 2014. He's currently sporting a slash line of .356/.420/.522 and is excelling in the two-hole.
Fantasy Tip: Even though it's early in the season and some regression is inevitable, Moustakas ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) seems primed for a breakout year. The No. 2 spot in the order has been great for his resurgence, and it makes him that much more attractive for daily lineups. The fact that he's hitting .359 (14-for-39) with one home run and five RBI against left-handers makes him a daily consideration at FantasyScore, regardless of opponent right now.

Kansas City Royals 3B Mike Moustakas went 2-for-5 with a double, run scored and an RBI in an 8-1 win over the Detroit Tigers Thursday, April 30, and he has raised his average from .309 to .356 during a five-game hitting streak.
Fantasy Tip: Moustakas ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) has 11 hits, five runs scored and four RBIs in his last five, and he makes a solid mid-range play at FantasyScore right now.
Thu, 30 Apr 2015 14:38:41 -0700
Fantasy Tip: This is likely just a short-term situation with Escobar injured, but it shouldn't be ignored at FantasyScore, especially since Gordon ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) has been heating up of late. Against Simon, who is due for some regression to the mean, Gordon is a sneaky good play at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Medlen is recoving from a 2014 Tommy John surgery, and the organization expects him to have a role in the second half of this season. Whether that is as part of the rotation or out of the bullpen remains to be seen. Medlen has been a nice fantasy asset in the past, so he is worth monitoring as he works his way back. You can likely ignore him in the majority of formats at this point, though.

Fantasy Tip: Expect Escobar ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) to return this weekend. Christian Colon ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is starting at shortstop in place of Escobar Thursday, April 30, and he projects to start until Escobar is able to return. Colon is a viable low-priced flier for FantasyScore players.
Thu, 30 Apr 2015 13:51:56 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Christian Colon ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is starting at shortstop in place of Escobar Thursday, April 30, and he projects to handle the position for the entirety of Escobar's ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) absence. This is excellent news for Escobar's seasonal owners, and Colon isn't a bad option for FantasyScore players looking for cap relief.

Updating previous reports, Kansas City Royals SS Alcides Escobar (head, cheek), who was diagnosed with a bruised left cheek after being hit in the head by a pitch Wednesday, April 29, isn't expected to land on the disabled list, according to manager Ned Yost. However, it's unknown when he might return to action. Escobar didn't go to the hospital and didn't undergo X-rays.
Fantasy Tip: Escobar ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) seems to have dodged a bullet with his injury, but you shouldn't expect him to be back in the lineup against Detroit Tigers starter Alfredo Simon tonight. Christian Colon ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is the likely replacement at shortstop until Escobar returns. He's a low-end second base option at FantasyScore.
Wed, 29 Apr 2015 21:44:47 -0700
Fantasy Tip: FantasyScore players should avoid Duffy ($4,600; 9.2% of cap) until he starts to pitch more consistently against Detroit.
Wed, 29 Apr 2015 18:04:02 -0700
Updating a previous report, Kansas City Royals SS Alcides Escobar (face, head) has been diagnosed with a bruised cheek after being hit by a pitch Wednesday, April 29. He is still being tested for concussion.
Fantasy Tip: Escobar appears to have dodged a serious bullet, but he isn't out of the woods yet as far as concussion is concerned. You can expect him to probably miss a game or two, and at least a week if he fails the concussion protocol. Christian Colon ($1,900; 3.8% of cap) might start if Escobar is forced to the shelf.
