Fantasy Tip: Morneau ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) will be re-evaluated Thursday, Sept. 3, for a possible return to the majors. Ben Paulsen ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) will continue to see most of the playing time at first base for the Rockies until then.

Colorado Rockies manager Walt Weiss said the team hasn't decided if OF Corey Dickerson (ribs) will return to action before the end of the regular season. He has been sidelined with broken ribs since July 30.
Fantasy Tip: With nothing to play for at this point, the Rockies aren't in a rush to bring back Dickerson ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) and it's hard to envision him being a major fantasy contributor over the final month of the season. OF Kyle Parker ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) has been getting regular playing time in left field but is batting just .183 this month and isn't a great FantasyScore option.

Fantasy Tip: Paulsen ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) rarely plays against lefties, so McBride ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) draws in to face the potentially daunting Liriano ($7,500, 15.0% of cap). FantasyScore players will be able to stack their lineups around McBride, but he is nothing more than a dice roll. After all, he doesn't have an extra base hit or RBI yet this season.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Blackmon ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) in all fantasy formats Friday. He hasn't been at his best of late with just 10 runs, six RBI and six stolen bases in August. Parker ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) should be viewed as nothing more than a low-priced flier at FantasyScore Friday. He faces a tough lefty, and he has an uninspiring .200/.236/.318 slash line over 40 games in his career.

Fantasy Tip: He's likely to play through the weekend and be evaluated. Morneau ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) could be a factor the last month of the season, but he has such a lengthy history of concussions it's hard to tell what we'll see out of him.

Colorado Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, Aug. 26. 2B DJ LeMahieu moves into the cleanup spot, while 2B Daniel Descalso is starting at third base and batting seventh against Atlanta Braves SP Shelby Miller.
Fantasy Tip: All LeMahieu ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) has done is continue to hit this year, so continue to ride him on FantasyScore. However, Miller has been very solid all season long despite his record. Descalso ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is a weak daily pick with his .207 average (29-for-140) and four homers on the season.

Fantasy Tip: Miller has been pitching much better than his record might suggest for the Braves. Gonzalez ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) could be overlooked on FantasyScore coming off his minor injury, and a whopping 28 of his 30 home runs this year have come against right-handers. Car-Go is a solid choice tonight.

Fantasy Tip: Gonzalez ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) just hurt the knee the day before, so the Rockies aren't taking any chances and are keeping him out. He should be stashed away on your bench in regular leagues as well. McBride ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is worth a low-cost flier. He has a .208 mark in August but his bat has warmed up in the past week (.357).

Fantasy Tip: Kendrick is expected back sometime in September. Until he can officially return, avoid him in FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: McKenry is on the 60-day disabled list and will not return again this season. Scratch him from your FantasyScore cheat sheets.

Fantasy Tip: Gonzalez ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) has been red hot lately, but injuries are always a concern when using him in FantasyScore. Give him a full game to prove his health before trusting him again at this high price.

Colorado Rockies SP Chad Bettis (elbow) will be activated from the disabled list to start against the Atlanta Braves Tuesday, Aug. 25. In a corresponding move, SP David Hale has been optioned to Class AAA Albuquerque.
Fantasy Tip: Bettis ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) hasn't started for Colorado since Sunday, July 19. And while the Braves are a team to target with your starting pitchers, Bettis remains a risky start. Hale ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) can be dropped in all seasonal formats.

Colorado Rockies SS Jose Reyes would welcome a trade out of Colorado, and the Rockies are likely seeking to trade him, too. Reyes isn't interested in playing for a team that's not competitive, and the Rockies are on pace for another 95-loss year. Colorado owes Reyes more than $56 million through the 2017 season. "I'm at the point in my career that I want to win," Reyes said. "I say it over and over. I want to win. I don't want to spend the rest of my career on a last-place team. That's not the kind of player I feel like I am." Reyes was put through waivers last week and went unclaimed, so the Rockies can trade Reyes to any team. It could be tough to trade him, though, as his OPS is below .700 for the first time since 2005, and he ranks last in defensive runs saved this year among 25 qualifying shortstops.
Fantasy Tip: Even though Reyes ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) is on a last-place team, the move to Colorado was good for his overall fantasy value, as he's hitting in one of the more hitter-friendly home ballparks at Coors Field. Another trade this year would likely decrease his value for the remainder of the 2015 season.

Colorado Rockies OF Carlos Gonzalez hit his 30th home run of the season Sunday, Aug. 23, in a 5-1 loss to the New York Mets. It marked the first time since 2010, when Gonzalez smacked 34 homers, that he reached the 30-homer plateau.
Fantasy Tip: Gonzalez ($8,000, 16.0% of cap) is making the most of Colorado's largely forgettable season and should remain in FantasyScore lineups as long as his bat stays hot.

Fantasy Tip: In defense of Hale ($3,200, 6.4% of cap), he did throw nine strikeouts, but Hale's record fell to 3-5 overall. In short, just your typical Coors Field outing. Although his ratio (13 walks, 40 strikeouts) is good, Hale's ERA has risen from 4.12 to 6.15 in his last eight starts. Leave him on your bench.
