Cleveland Indians OF Brandon Moss is not in the starting lineup Monday, April 27. OF Jerry Sands is starting in right field and hitting sixth in the batting order against Kansas City Royals left-handed SP Jason Vargas.
Fantasy Tip: Sands ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) has eight hits in 21 at-bats this year, but he last recorded a knock April 22 and hasn't started a game since a week ago, as he's been relegated to a bench role. Consider him a low-end outfield option with pop at FantasyScore.

Cleveland Indians 3B Lonnie Chisenhall is not in the starting lineup Monday, April 27. SS Mike Aviles is starting at third base and hitting second in the batting order against Kansas City Royals SP Jason Vargas.
Fantasy Tip: Aviles ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) isn't a bad low-priced shortstop option today at FantasyScore as a sleeper, especially hitting near the top of the Tribe's order. Vargas has struggled of late for the Royals.

Fantasy Tip: Bauer ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) has been lights out to start the season, with a 0.95 ERA. Bauer has been striking out 12.32 batters per nine innings, but has also walked 5.21 batters per nine. Bauer hasn't allowed a home run yet this season, but all three of his starts have been of the quality variety. If Bauer's on your waiver wire, go and get him.

Cleveland Indians OF Michael Bourn was dropped to ninth in the batting order Sunday, April 26, against the Detroit Tigers. The Indians will take on Tigers left-hander Kyle Lobstein. Bourn said he understood manager Terry Francona's decision, "Sometimes you just catch yourself in a funk," he said.
Fantasy Tip: Bourn ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) has just a .180 average through 68 plate appearances, with zero home runs and one stolen base. It's a rough matchup for the left-handed hitting Bourn, who will go up against Tigers lefty Kyle Lobstein. Avoid Bourn on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Raburn ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has gotten off to a blistering start with a .364 average through 24 plate appearances. While regression is likely to his Raburn hard at some point in the near future, FantasyScore owners have to keep using him until that happens. Against Tigers left-hander Kyle Lobstein, Raburn represents a quality value play.

Fantasy Tip: Aviles ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has one home run and a .250 batting average in 32 plate appearances this season. Aviles has hit .274 in his career against left-handed pitchers, and he'll make for a decent value against Tigers left-hander Kyle Lobstein on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: We'd be more excited about Brantley ($5,400, 10.8% of your cap) if 10 of his 13 hits weren't singles. He's at a premium price, but his hot streak means he's on point with his stroke. He's a decent OF option on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Bauer has pitched very well this season, going 2-0 with a 0.95 ERA through his first three outings. He had to cut short his pregame long toss routine because of the illness and it is unknown when he will pitch again.

Fantasy Tip: Perez ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) played Friday, April 24, so he is probably receiving a day off. Hayes ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has received only five at-bats this season and probably is not the best option for owners on FantasyScore.
Fri, 24 Apr 2015 20:31:32 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Moss ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) isn't going to win a batting title any time soon, but seven of his nine hits this season have been for extra bases, including three homers. He is a high-risk, high-reward option at FantasyScore, and he should be exclusively used against right-handed starters.
Fri, 24 Apr 2015 20:19:51 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Brantley's ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) average in on the rise, but he still has just two extra-base hits on the year. The back injury that kept him sidelined earlier the year could be sapping his power a bit, and he is still a bit overpriced at FantasyScore for his current level of production.

Fantasy Tip: In two starts since joining the rotation, Salazar has piled up 21 strikeouts while posting a 2.08 ERA. Check to see if he is available on the waiver wire in seasonal formats, and check out his price tag at FantasyScore when he is added to the player pool. His strikeout potential gives him intriguing upside.

Cleveland Indians OF/1B Nick Swisher (knee) will play with Triple-A Columbus Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, according to manager Terry Francona. Francona added Swisher will join the team Monday, April 27, to work out and discuss the next steps in his path to rejoining the team.
Fantasy Tip: Swisher ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) has a lot to overcome before he is anything more than an AL-only option. There isn't a clear path to everyday at-bats, and he is returning from two knee surgeries at 34. Plus, he posted career-low numbers in 2014. At this point, it is advised to take a wait-and-see approach with 'Swish' in all formats.

Cleveland Indians RP Cody Allen received a vote of confidence from manager Terry Francona Tuesday, April 21. "Cody is about as trustworthy and dependable as anyone we have," said Francona. "Monday night wasn't a lot of fun, but if there's anybody we believe in, he's right at the top of the list."
Fantasy Tip: Allen rewarded his managers endorsement with a three-strikeout save Tuesday. Until he is removed from the role, which seems unlikely at this point, Allen should be viewed as a mid-tier save candidate. He has an 11.7 K/9 over the past three seasons, too.
Wed, 22 Apr 2015 09:52:12 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Bryan Shaw could pick up the save chance after Cody Allen threw 48 pitches the last two days. If you have daily waivers, he's worth consideration for a speculative pickup today.
