Cleveland Indians OFs Rajai Davis and Lonnie Chisenhall are not in the starting lineup Tuesday, May 3. OF Marlon Byrd is in right field and hitting seventh, while OF Tyler Naquin is starting in center field and batting ninth against Detroit Tigers SP Justin Verlander.
Fantasy Tip: Neither Byrd nor Naquin are outstanding picks for daily rosters, but Byrd does have six hits in 13 at-bats against Verlander with a home run. Naquin has handled his own in 48 at-bats (.333 average). Both should be considered midrange outfield options as sleepers.

Fantasy Tip: The last time Santana faced Verlander in the leadoff spot he homered off him to lead off the game. Santana is hitting only .232 (13-for-56) in his career off Verlander, but he does have seven home runs and 11 RBI off him. Santana would be a wise investment in daily formats today.

Cleveland Indians OF Michael Brantley and 3B Juan Uribe are not in the starting lineup against Philadelphia Phillies SP Vincent Velasquez Sunday, May 1. SS Jose Ramirez will start at third base and is batting first in the lineup. OF Rajai Davis will start in left field and is batting seventh.
Fantasy Tip: Ramirez is recorded seven hits in his last 15 at-bats and should be a fine starting option in daily fantasy leagues. Davis is hitting a solid .274 with two home runs and nine RBI this season and could be used in some leagues.

Cleveland Indians 1B Mike Napoli (neck) is not in the starting lineup against Philadelphia Phillies SP Vincent Velasquez Sunday, May 1. 1B Carlos Santana will start at first base and is batting fourth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Santana is hitting .300 with two doubles and one RBI over the last seven days. Santana could be a starting option in some mixed leagues, but owners in daily fantasy leagues probably can find better starting candidates.

Fantasy Tip: Chisenhall scored twice and lifted his batting average to .227. He is showing signs of life following much of the first month spent on the disabled list, but Chisenhall is streaky and is the type of player better suited for daily leagues.
Fri, 29 Apr 2016 21:49:27 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Kipnis has two home runs, five RBI and five runs scored during the streak, and while he isn't the 20-20 threat he used to be, he is still a starting-caliber second baseman in all formats.
Fri, 29 Apr 2016 12:59:13 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Davis has a career .294/.348/.444 slash line against southpaws and is off to a strong start this season with a .286/.333/.482 line. He is a strong option in all fantasy formats Friday. However, his year-long value is decreasing with Michael Brantley back in the fold. Davis will likely see the smaller side of a timeshare with Naquin. Naquin has been strong to start the season, too, as he has gone 13-for-39 with seven runs and a .350 on-base percentage.

Cleveland Indians OF Lonnie Chisenhall (neck) is dealing with a strained neck after diving in the outfield Tuesday, April 26. However, he's expected to be OK after the Indians' off day Thursday, April 28.
Fantasy Tip: Chisenhall could be back in the lineup Friday against Phillies starter Adam Morgan. Check back to make sure he's in there, but Chisenhall could be a nice low-priced sleeper pick against a very hittable pitcher in a hitter's haven Friday night.

Cleveland Indians 3B Juan Uribe and OFs Lonnie Chisenhall and Rajai Davis are not in the starting lineup Wednesday, April 27. 3B Jose Ramirez is at the hot corner and is batting seventh, OF Marlon Byrd is starting in right field and is hitting eighth, while OF Tyler Naquin sees the start in center field and is batting ninth against Minnesota Twins SP Jose Berrios.
Fantasy Tip: The Tribe is facing a top pitching prospect making his major league debut in Berrios, so their is plenty of risk and reward for all three players in daily formats. However, with all three near the bottom of the lineup, they're more of desperation deep sleeper picks.

Fantasy Tip: The Indians won't require a fifth starter until Saturday, May 7, so there is potential for Anderson to be recalled to start then. However, he has some work to do before fantasy owners can trust him again. Anderson allowed 20 runs through just 20 innings over his four 2016 starts. Take a wait-and-see approach with him for now.
Tue, 26 Apr 2016 22:45:06 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Anderson was a sensation down the stretch last season, but he isn't fooling anyone this year. Avoid him in all but the deepest of AL-only fantasy formats until he gets untracked.
Tue, 26 Apr 2016 22:44:39 -0700
Fantasy Tip: You can expect a little bit of rust from Brantley, as he slowly works his way back into regular playing time. Fantasy owners should be patient, as it might take him a while before he gets up to speed.
Tue, 26 Apr 2016 21:36:47 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners in AL-only leagues which allow daily moves, and DFS players, will want to avoid him until he can officially return and prove his health in a full game without any setbacks.
Tue, 26 Apr 2016 14:01:07 -0700
Cleveland Indians 1B Carlos Santana is hitting leadoff again against Minnesota Twins SP Ricky Nolasco Tuesday, April 26. OF Rajai Davis is not playing, while OF Tyler Naquin is starting in center field and batting ninth.
Fantasy Tip: Santana's leadoff positioning is likely the result of Davis being out of the lineup tonight. Regardless, it's notable, especially in daily contests. Santana homered in his first at-bat out of the leadoff spot Friday and had four hits in 14 at-bats at leadoff over the weekend. Santana is a nice option for all formats tonight. Naquin has played little this year and is a low-end outfield option.
Mon, 25 Apr 2016 23:29:39 -0700
Cleveland Indians OF Michael Brantley will start Tuesday, April 26, and the following day before the team has an off day Thursday, April 28. The plan would be to play the next two days before evaluating him on Sunday, May 1.
Fantasy Tip: If you own Brantley, he should be in your lineups. Hold off on him in DFS until he proves his stroke isn't rusty.
