Clevenad Indians SS Mike Aviles will start at second base and hit ninth in the order Saturday, Aug. 1, against the Oakland Athletics and RHP Aaron Brooks. OF Tyler Holt comes out of the lineup in a corresponding roster change.
Fantasy Tip: Aviles ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) doesn't have a hit in 22 consecutive plate appearances, and he should be avoided on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Chisenhall was just called up in the past couple days and has yet to establish a FantasyScore value this time around. He should be a bit more valuable thanks to the Cleveland trades, but with some fantasy players it may be a case of once bitten, twice shy with Chisenhall.

Fantasy Tip: Salazar ($7,400, 14.8% of cap) continues a decent year where his ratio (33 walks, 136 strikeouts) has improved greatly from 2014. He has been effective against Oakland, holding A's batters to a .109 average. He remains a solid FantasyScore play.

Cleveland Indians SP Danny Salazar has struck out seven or more hitters in 12 of his 18 starts this season, including in each of his last four starts. He is 4-2 with a 3.42 ERA and a .223 opponents' average on the road this season.
Fantasy Tip: The matchup against the Oakland Athletics tonight on FantasyScore is a good one for Salazar ($7,400, 14.8% of cap), who is striking out 10.7 hitters per nine innings. He should definitely be in consideration as one of your two starting pitchers.

Cleveland Indians SP Carlos Carrasco threw a complete-game victory over the Oakland Athletics Thursday, July 30, striking out seven while allowing two hits, a run and a walk in 103 pitches. It was the third straight complete game for the Indians rotation for the first time since 1994. Carrasco is 11-8 with a 4.03 ERA, 140 strikeouts and 27 walks in 127 1/3 innings this year.
Fantasy Tip: Carrasco's ($7,200, 14.4% of cap) ERA doesn't reflect just how dominant he can be at times, and he's striking out 9.9 hitters per nine innings. He'll continue to be a strong play with the right matchups on FantasyScore, but if he's traded at the deadline, his fantasy value could even be on the rise.

Fantasy Tip: With Brandon Moss and David Murphy being dealt away, Chisenhall, a former highly-regarded prospect, will have yet another opportunity to earn playing time with the Indians. His line currently sits at .209/.241/.345 with just four home runs and 19 RBI in 52 games. Chisenhall should not be deployed in any lineups at the moment, but it wouldn't hurt to track his progress.

Fantasy Tip: Chisenhall won't be on many fantasy owners' radars after a disappointing stint with the Tribe earlier this year, but he was hitting .280 (44-for-157) with three home runs and 21 RBI in the minors, and he figures to see decent playing time with Brandon Moss no longer in town. Plus, he could also add multi-position eligibility if he plays enough in the outfield or at first base. Owners in deeper leagues should take notice. Take a wait-and-see approach with him as a sleeper pick on FantasyScore.

Cleveland Indians 3B Lonnie Chisenhall is "likely" to be activated to take the roster spot of OF Brandon Moss, who was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals. Chisenhall can play the corner outfield spots and first base.
Fantasy Tip: Chisenhall was a disappointment for the Tribe this year, hitting only .209 (37-for-177) with four home runs and 19 RBI, but a new opportunity for playing time could make him valuable, at least in AL-only leagues. Gaining multi-positional eligibility would make him slightly more attractive.

Fantasy Tip: Ryan Raburn ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) could fill in right field, or they could turn to Tyler Holt, who picked up his first major league hit last night. Neither are good options on FantasyScore for now but keep an eye on the opening.

Fantasy Tip: Dr. Smooth ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) has picked up two or more hits in six of the past 17 games, hitting safely in 14 games during the stretch. More importantly for FantasyScore players he has five doubles, four home runs and 13 RBIs over the past 15 games.
Wed, 29 Jul 2015 18:15:11 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Gomes ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) has started to pick it up offensively, going 8-for-27 (.296) over the past eight games, raising his average from .218 to .230 just since July 18. He has eight RBIs over the past nine games, making him a somewhat attractive and cheap play in FantasyScore.
Wed, 29 Jul 2015 18:14:33 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Urshela ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) has hit safely in eight straight games, and he has four extra-base hits during the span. At this price level he is worth a look in FantasyScore, especially if you want to load up on pitching or other batter spots.
Wed, 29 Jul 2015 18:14:03 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It hasn't been the most productive season for Bourn ($2,800, 5.6% of cap), but he has shown some signs of life lately. Since July 18 he is 11-for-26 (.423), raising his average from .222 to .242. FantasyScore players might find him to be a decent bargain, just don't expect much in the way of power.
Wed, 29 Jul 2015 18:13:05 -0700
Fantasy Tip: The switch-hitting rookie Lindor ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) entered the month with just one homer, but he has two in the past three days for a total of seven RBIs. However, all but one of his season's homers have come at home, and the Indians hit the road for a six-game trip, so FantasyScore players might want to hold off on using him until the team returns to C-Town.
Wed, 29 Jul 2015 18:11:07 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Kipnis ($5,400, 10.8% of cap) is hitting a robust .376 at home this season, posting 20 doubles, four triples, four home runs and 23 RBI with an OPS well over 1.000. Unfortunately, the Indians hit the road for six games, but he is still hitting a respectable .291 with a .749 OPS on the road. FantasyScore owners have been loving him lately.
