Fantasy Tip: Hayes ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) only has two hits in 18 at-bats this season but both have been home runs. Owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options to use.

Fantasy Tip: Ramirez ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) has been struggling at the plate, so he could see more off days moving forward. Aviles ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) has picked up at least one hit in four of the last five games and could be a cheaper option for owners on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Raburn ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) has done well at the plate this season with a .372 batting average, one home run and 10 RBI. Owners on FantasyScore could consider Raburn as a cheaper option to use.

Fantasy Tip: Bourn ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) is not playing since the team is facing a left-handed pitcher. Ryan Raburn ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) is starting his in place and could be a cheaper option for owners to consider.

Cleveland Indians RP Cody Allen is throwing a higher percentage of curveballs this season, and he has increased his curveball percentage annually over the past three seasons. He utilized the curveball 28.3% in 2013, 3.7% last season, and so far this season, Allen is throwing it 41.3% of the time.
Fantasy Tip: Allen has leaned on his curveball to keep hitters off balance, as he primarily used the pitch as a putout option earlier in his career. Currently, the closer is struggling on the mound with a 10.00 ERA and a 2.44 WHIP with two losses, a blown save and only four converted saves. Manager Terry Francona has stood behind Allen, but Allen is clearly struggling, and hurting fantasy owners. Bryan Shaw deserves attention from the save vultures out there, as he may end up seizing the job from Allen.

Fantasy Tip: Aviles ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) could see more frequent starts at the 6 with Ramirez struggling (.194-1-3) as they bide time for prospect Francisco Lindor. Aviles has a home run and three RBI in 14 career at-bats against Vargas, making him a notable sleeper play to save loot at FantasyScore tonight.

Fantasy Tip: As the Indians ease Swisher ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) back into the everyday lineup, he'll likely stick at DH for at least the short term. Let him get acclimated to major league pitching again for a while before clicking on him at FantasyScore.
Tue, 05 May 2015 16:25:04 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Raburn ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) has become a regular in the lineup against lefties, and for good reason this year. He's hitting .457 (16-for-35) against them with a home run, 10 RBI and a 1.217 OPS. It looks like his playing time against lefties will start to cost Michael Bourn playing time. Consider Raburn a sneaky good play yet again against a lefty tonight.

Cleveland Indians OF Michael Bourn is on the bench against a lefty Tuesday, May 5, and he'll sit the bench against another left-handed pitcher Wednesday, May 6, according to manager Terry Francona. Francona said Bourn will sit against lefties for the time being.
Fantasy Tip: Bourn ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) is hitting only .195 (17-for-87) with no home runs and five RBI and .189 (7-for-37) against lefties this year. Ryan Raburn ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) has crushed left-handers this year with a .457 average (16-for-35) with a home run, 10 RBIs and a 1.217 OPS. Make sure Raburn is a consideration for your FantasyScore lineups when the Tribe is facing a southpaw like tonight.

Fantasy Tip: Gomes ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) still has a ways to go in his recovery from a knee injury and isn't expected back until next month. Roberto Perez ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) and Brett Hayes ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) are splitting the catching duties in the meantime. Both are weaker starting catching daily options.

Fantasy Tip: Swisher ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) is likely to be eased into the lineup initially, so he'll probably be a weak play at FantasyScore in the beginning. His return is likely to take away already limited at-bats from David Murphy ($1,900, 3.8% of cap).
Sun, 03 May 2015 15:01:17 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Owners of Kipnis ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) have to be delighted with this development, and he should be in your daily lineup as long as this hot streak continues.
Sun, 03 May 2015 14:34:56 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Raburn ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) doesn't play much against righties at all, but he is worth a low-cost flier against some left-handed pitching based on the matchup. He seems to have shaken off injuries from 2014.
Sun, 03 May 2015 12:56:09 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Entering play Sunday, Bourn ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) was hitting only .202 through 21 games, with an on-base percentage of .264. Avoid him in FantasyScore for the foreseeable future until he shows signs of snapping out of his season-long funk.
Sun, 03 May 2015 08:16:21 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Perez ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) likely will return to the lineup in the next game. Hayes ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has not had much success at the plate this season but both of his hits on the season have been home runs. Owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options.
