Several scouts and opposing general managers think Cincinnati Reds RP Aroldis Chapman is best suited to stay in the bullpen and be a closer in his career. "He's a thrower, not a pitcher," said one assistant GM who has been expressing this opinion since he first saw video of Chapman in Cuba. "He's a two-pitch guy. He doesn't have a third pitch. So I just don't see it. I see a thrower, not a pitcher. And those guys belong in the 'pen." Some still think he can succeed as a starter down the road, though. "Remember," one executive said, "when Randy Johnson first got to the big leagues, he was just fastball-slider, and he was even wilder than this guy. So if, in a year, (Chapman's) command continues to improve the way it already has and he can get a feel for the change, I think he can be a big-time starter. But that's the biggest question: Does he have the feel?"

Cincinnati Reds manager Dusty Baker noted a mechanical adjustment to SS Zack Cozart while watching video, and Cozart credits the fix for helping him to get going at the plate again. "The day off helped big time," Cozart said. "It helped more mentally than physically. That day, Dusty saw something on video. I was getting started too late. That made me speed up my swing and pop up more than I usually do. The good thing was it's an easy fix."

Cincinnati Reds RP Aroldis Chapman was arrested early Monday, May 21, for having a suspended Kentucky driver's license. He was originally pulled over for driving 93 mph. He was cited for speeding and driving under suspension and was released from jail after posting bond.
