White Sox | Adam Dunn's problems started early Fri, 10 Feb 2012 14:21:57 -0800 Former Chicago White Sox skipper Ozzie Guillen said hitting coach Greg Walker foresaw problems with DH Adam Dunn's swing in spring training last year. "He says 'We have a problem,'" Guillen said. "I say 'What? Spring training is only a couple of days (old).' He says 'You've got to come out and see Adam Dunn's swing.' I said 'Don't worry about it. We've got a month and a half to get ready, go through spring training. Don't worry about it.'" Guillen said the team tried everything to snap him out of his funk but nothing worked. Mustain, 23, hasn't pitched since high school when he was one of the top quarterback prospects in the nation. He played quarterback at Arkansas and the University of Southern California, but his collegiate career never took off. He has told friends he is touching 90 mph on the radar gun. There are a lot of other things going into it, but I'm not going to get into them. But the one thing I am doing is I'm getting loaded up, ready to go, prepared to hit the ball hard, as opposed to kind of feeling for it, which is what I was doing last year." He has been spending many hours in the cages this offseason to correct his mental approach heading into the 2012 season.
