Fantasy Tip: Rodriguez ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) is playing off a small sample size here, but the fact is his second start has gone about as well as the first. He may yet fade this season, but Rodriguez has been a rare bright spot in an otherwise disappointing year for Boston. Keep an eye on him.

Boston Red Sox C Blake Swihart is out again in Game 1 of the team's doubleheader Wednesday, June 3. C Sandy Leon is starting and hitting eighth in the batting order against Minnesota Twins SP Phil Hughes.
Fantasy Tip: Leon ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) should be ignored at FantasyScore if you are playing with the early slate of games today.

Fantasy Tip: Holt ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) leaves much to be desired for a FantasyScore flyer.

Boston Red Sox SS Xander Bogaerts had two hits, including a double, a run scored and a stolen base during Boston's 1-0 win over the Minnesota Twins Tuesday, June 2. It was his fifth hit over the past two games, which was proceeded by an 0-for-15 six-game slump.
Fantasy Tip: Bogaerts ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) was surging before the slump, so it is encouraging that it only lasted a week. Now, he appears back on track to continue his breakout season. The 22-year-old shortstop might not wow in any particular category, but he is capable of tilting the scales in all five standard categories. He should be owned in all but shallow mixed leagues, and even there, he should be on your radar. In favorable matchups, he is a solid mid-priced play in FantasyScore contests, too.

Boston Red Sox SP Clay Buchholz threw eight scoreless innings with eight strikeouts during Boston's 1-0 win over the Minnesota Twins Tuesday, June 2. Buchholz allowed just three hits and issued two walks.
Fantasy Tip: It was Buccholz's ($5,700, 11.4% of cap) fourth consecutive start with two earned runs or fewer allowed. And outside three rough outings, he has limited opponents and pitched well. FantasyScore players should view the Boston hurler as a value start when he lands in a favorable matchup. Up next, Buchholz will faces the Oakland Athletics Sunday, June 7, and he is worth considering for usage in daily contests given his recent run.

Fantasy Tip: Leon ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has only eight hits in 42 at-bats (.190) this season, including just two RBI. He's a very weak catching option on FantasyScore anytime he's in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Porcello is 2-4 with a 5.45 ERA in 12 starts over 66 innings against the Twins since the start of the 2012 season. FantasyScore players should look elsewhere Wednesday night rather than risking $4,500 (or 9.0% of cap).
Mon, 01 Jun 2015 20:21:51 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Rodriguez was sharp May 28 in Texas in his first start, giving up just three hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over 7 2/3 innings in a win. He could be a solid play in FantasyScore if he can stick around in the rotation.
Mon, 01 Jun 2015 20:20:55 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Buchholz went just 1-3 in the month of May, but he had a respectable 3.31 ERA with quality starts in each of the past four outings. He has received a total of just seven runs over his past five outings. FantasyScore players can still trust him at $5,400 (or 10.8% of cap), especially since he allowed just one run over 7 1/3 innings last time out in Minnesota.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure you avoid all players from these two teams for your FantasyScore lineups this evening.
Mon, 01 Jun 2015 09:13:52 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Masterson ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) should be ready to return to the rotation in short order. Boston is currently using a six-man rotation, and there are several candidates that would be in danger of being bumped out, including Joe Kelly and Steven Wright. Masterson had a 6.37 ERA in seven starts this year before being injured, so you'll want to make sure he has a juicy matchup before even considering him at FantasyScore again.

Fantasy Tip: Leon ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is only batting .205 this year and is not worthy of FantasyScore consideration. Swihart ($2,600, 5.2% of cap) is batting .429 over the past week and should return to the lineup Sunday, May 31.
Sat, 30 May 2015 12:46:25 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Holt ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) is batting .287 with one home run and 11 RBIs over 101 at-bats this year. He is a nice source of cap relief for FantasyScore owners.
Sat, 30 May 2015 12:35:38 -0700
Fantasy Tip: In addition to battling the flu, Ortiz ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) was out of the lineup to work on his hitting mechanics. He only has one hit in his last 16 at-bats and is batting just .183 over the last four weeks. Avoid using him in FantasyScore until he has shown signs of regaining his hitting stroke.
Fri, 29 May 2015 21:00:23 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Ramirez ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) had been in a month-long slump, but he appears to be catching fire. Feel free to start using him again at FantasyScore.
