Fantasy Tip: Bradley has an absurd .430-7-21 line this month and should be in all lineups.

Fantasy Tip: Bogaerts isn't expected to miss time due to the thumb wound. He's hitting .406 with four homers and 16 RBI this month and should be in all lineups.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to keep an eye on the situation to see if Pedroia will miss any games because of the injury. Pedroia should be a starting option in all leagues when he is healthy. Marco Hernandez and Josh Rutledge would be candidates at second base if Pedroia is not ready and could be sleeper players in daily fantasy leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Hanigan probably will not miss much time since it is an illness. He will continue to receive a few starts a week but is not a strong starting candidate in most leagues.

Boston Red Sox OF Brock Holt (concussion) isn't expected to be on the disabled list for long, but he won't return immediately to the Red Sox. Holt traveled back to Boston Wednesday, May 25, after two days of testing. Manager John Farrell said there is a detailed treatment plan in place for Holt, and he's still dealing with some symptoms. Holt's conditioning will begin Thursday, May 26.
Fantasy Tip: Holt had been platooning in left field and facing right-handed pitchers. A strong start in April quickly faded, and he's hitting .239 with three home runs and 19 RBI in 113 at-bats. It's unclear what Boston will do in left field with Blake Swihart splitting time with Chris Young when Holt is ready to return. It's entirely possible that Holt's fantasy value already peaked in 2016.

Fantasy Tip: With Trevor Story out of the lineup, LeMahieu jumps into the two-hole. LeMahieu's fantasy value receives a fleeting boost, and it increases his upside in daily contests. He is having a nice season with 24 runs, two home runs, 14 RBI, five stolen bases and a .310/.366/.434 slash line, and LeMahieu remains a viable starter at the keystone in the majority of seasonal leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Rodriguez has some promise and is a viable stash in the majority of seasonal leagues. He went 10-6 with a 3.85 ERA, a 1.29 WHIP and and 7.2 K/9 during his rookie season and appears to be set to return sooner than later now. Stay tuned for updates.

Boston Red Sox 1B Hanley Ramirez (toe) is starting at first base and batting fifth against Colorado Rockies SP Chad Bettis Wednesday, May 25. Ramirez left the game early Tuesday, May 24, and was diagnosed with a toe contusion.
Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners should be happy to see Ramirez back in the lineup following his early exit Tuesday. And while his four home runs are a little lower than expected, Ramirez is pounding the other stat columns with 26 runs and 26 RBI and there are no complaints about his .311 batting average and .364 on-base percentage. Look for the power to pick up, and Ramirez appears to be set for a strong rebound showing, as long as he can avoid injuries.

Fantasy Tip: Story is 0-for-8 with six strikeouts through his past two games, so sitting down against a knuckleball pitcher might be a nice chance for him to regroup. The rookie has been a fantasy star to start the season with 27 runs, 12 home runs, 31 RBI and a .272/.327/.578 slash line, and the peaks have been higher than the lows of the valleys thus far. Adames is nothing more than a desperation source of cap relief in daily contests Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: Unsurprisingly, Big Papi has been a major contributor in his final year. The double tonight was his 20th, which leads all of Major League Baseball, and the 40-year-old Ortiz is now hitting .333 with a splendid 1.099 OPS. Keep firing him up every time he's in the starting batting order.

Boston Red Sox SP David Price upped his record to 7-1 after defeating the Colorado Rockies Tuesday, May 24. He worked seven solid innings, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk. He also recorded six strikeouts.
Fantasy Tip: While his owners probably aren't happy with his 5.34 ERA, Price is starting to look like his old consistent self again, as this was his third straight quality start after contributing only three such outings in his first seven assignments of the season. Now having a 76-to-15 K/BB ratio in 62 1/3 innings, it seems inevitable that Price will bring his ERA down considerably, and he remains an elite option in all leagues.
Tue, 24 May 2016 19:32:32 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Owners should keep an eye on the situation to see if Ramirez will miss any time because of the injury. Travis Shaw probably would start at first base and Josh Rutledge would play at third base if Ramirez misses time. Shaw has played well this season and should be starting in all leagues, while Rutledge should be a sleeper option in daily fantasy leagues because he has been productive in limited playing time.
Tue, 24 May 2016 12:28:45 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Bogaerts is slashing an impressive .346/.397/.495 with four home runs and 25 RBI on the year. At a shallow position, he's one of the top options around despite the lack of power. Continue running with him confidently in all formats.
Tue, 24 May 2016 12:18:59 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Rutledge has a nice matchup against a struggling pitcher in his first start off the DL, but it's hard to trust the light-hitting second baseman in any format. He has 13 hits in 35 at-bats (.371) this year but has a career .265 average and has never reached double-digit home runs in his five-year career.
Tue, 24 May 2016 07:42:36 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Smith had some value in the bullpen for ratios, but he can be dropped in all formats. Koji Uehara and Junichi Tazawa will continue to bridge the gap to Craig Kimbrel, and both are worth consideration in deeper leagues.
