Baltimore Orioles SP Ubaldo Jimenez has emerged as a candidate for Comeback Player of the Year thanks to a 2.96 ERA and career-best 3.21 strikeout-to-walk ratio over his first 16 starts this season. He has worked with special assignment pitching instructor, and former big leaguer, Ramon Martinez.
Fantasy Tip: Jimenez ($6,700; or 13.4% of cap) has re-emerged as a solid FantasyScore option most nights, particularly at home where he is 5-1 with a 2.06 ERA over seven starts. At Camden Yards, he has 47 strikeouts over 48 innings with a .213 opponent batting average. He is also a beast in day games, going 2-0 with a 1.67 ERA in four outings. Remember that if you play FantasyScore on a regular basis.

Fantasy Tip: Lough ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) is hitting just .222 (22-for-99) on the season with four home runs and 12 RBI. While occupying the last spot in the batting order, he doesn't hold much FantasyScore appeal aside from maybe a nice source of salary cap relief.

Fantasy Tip: Jimenez's stats are a little deceiving because he appears to have lady luck on his side with a 1.34 WHIP. He has allowed 36 hits and 13 walks and those will start scoring. At $6,700 (13.4% of cap), he's at a midrange price on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Schoop ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) had three homers and seven RBI in the first nine games of the season before landing on the DL. He immediately reminded everyone of his power potential, and he offers nice upside for the price at FantasyScore.

Baltimore Orioles OF Travis Snider is not in the starting lineup against Chicago White Sox SP Carlos Rodon Sunday, July 5. OF Nolan Reimold will start in left field and is batting second in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Snider ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) likely is out of the lineup since he struggled against left-handed pitchers. Reimold ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) has posted decent numbers at the plate this season, but owners should be able to find better options to use on FantasyScore.

Baltimore Orioles OF Chris Parmelee is not in the starting lineup against Chicago White Sox SP Carlos Rodon Sunday, July 5. OF Steve Pearce will start at first base and is batting fifth in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Parmelee ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) likely is sitting out because the team is facing a left-handed pitcher. Pearce ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) has gone hitless in 10 at-bats this month and could be passed over by owners on FantasyScore.
Sun, 05 Jul 2015 10:04:37 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Wieters ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) should return to the lineup in the next game or two. Joseph ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) has posted decent numbers at the plate this season but is not a great option for owners on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: With Jonathan Schoop coming off the DL this weekend, Flaherty ($1,800, 3.6% of cap) became expendable. He could be back with Baltimore eventually as a utility infielder later this season. If you haven't already done so, look to add Schoop if he's available in your deep mixed or AL-only leagues.
Sat, 04 Jul 2015 14:46:58 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Reimold ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) has just one extra-base hit since June 13, and he wasn't much of a FantasyScore consideration at this point.
Sat, 04 Jul 2015 14:41:13 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Schoop ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) went 9-for-34 with two doubles and four home runs during a 10-game minor league rehab assignment. It will be Schoop's first major league start since April 17, but he'll be worth immediate FantasyScore consideration due to his potential.
Sat, 04 Jul 2015 11:24:31 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Gausman ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) tossed 6 1/3 scoreless innings in his most recent start against the Texas Rangers Thursday, July 2, and the team had considered sending him to Class AAA Norfolk in order to keep him in the routine of pitching on regular rest. Instead, he will remain with the parent club and will face Minnesota on his normal pitching day.
Sat, 04 Jul 2015 11:20:47 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Norris ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) is 2-7 with a 6.79 ERA this season and has posted only three quality starts in 11 appearances, so his demotion to the bullpen is no surprise. Manager Buck Showalter said that he would be the team's first choice to fill a rotation spot if the need arises but as long as he's in the bullpen, Norris has no value in FantasyScore.
Sat, 04 Jul 2015 10:06:15 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Snider ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) is hitting better against lefties than righties this season and is just 2-for-11 in his career against Samardzija. Look elsewhere for outfield options today in FantasyScore.
Fri, 03 Jul 2015 14:12:50 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Wieters ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) has a respectable .210 ISO, .356 wOBA and .823 OPS against left-handed pitchers for his career, so he stands as an excellent FantasyScore player Friday.
Fri, 03 Jul 2015 12:30:14 -0700
Fantasy Tip: With Kevin Gausman ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) and Wei-Yin Chen ($6,100, 12.2% of cap) back in the rotation and pitching well, Norris ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) could be on the outside looking in. The club could still pitch Norris on Monday, or he could serve as a long reliever. Stay away from Norris until his status is determined.
