Fantasy Tip: Reimold continued his hot start, and he is hammering left-handed pitching. He makes a great play in daily formats when the matchup is right.

Fantasy Tip: Reimold boasts a .321/.367/.643 slash line through 30 plate appearances to start the season, and he posted a .374 on-base percentage against southpaws last season. Reimold is a potential flier in daily contests Friday. Alvarez is snoozing to start the year and has gone just 8-for-44 with a single RBI. At this point, he is waiver-wire fodder in most leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Rodriguez will likely need some time to build up his arm, but there is certainly potential to snag a rotation spot. He's a speculative AL-only grab for now.

Fantasy Tip: Machado's home run was his seventh of the season and the second grand slam of his career. He is batting .333 through his first 87 at-bats and should be viewed as a high-end option at the hot corner in all fantasy formats.

Fantasy Tip: Trumbo already qualifies as a first baseman in most seasonal leagues, even though he has not played the position this season due to the presence of 1B Chris Davis. He has been Baltimore's regular right fielder in 2016 but has also seen time in left field and at designated hitter. Trumbo was leading the American League with a .359 average entering play Thursday, April 28, and should be viewed as a solid option in both seasonal and daily formats.

Baltimore Orioles SP Yovani Gallardo (bicep, shoulder) has not resumed throwing and no timetable exists for his return from the disabled list, according to manager Buck Showalter. However, he is pain-free and doing cuff exercises.
Fantasy Tip: Gallardo has gotten off to a slow start with the O's, going 1-1 with a 7.00 ERA through his first four starts, with 23 hits allowed over 18 innings. The 30-year-old right-hander is not worth stashing outside of AL-only and cavernous mixed leagues.

Baltimore Orioles C Matt Wieters and 1B Pedro Alvarez are not in the starting lineup against Chicago White Sox left-handed SP John Danks Thursday, April 28. C Caleb Joseph is behind the plate and is batting ninth, while OF Nolan Reimold starts again in left field and is hitting seventh. OF Mark Trumbo is serving as the designated hitter and batting cleanup.
Fantasy Tip: All Orioles players have some intrigue in Baltimore tonight facing the very hittable Danks. Joseph's daily value is limited while hitting ninth, however. Alvarez is off to a slow start (.186, no home runs) and could be benched regularly against lefties. Pay up for Trumbo tonight.

Fantasy Tip: Batter vs. pitcher splits are so subjective and don't hold a lot of weight. However, this is a large sample size, and there appears to be something the lefty does that has Jones off balance. Add in that Jones has a .196-1-5 line to open the year, and he might be one to avoid in DFS today.

Baltimore Orioles 3B Jimmy Paredes (wrist) went 1-for-4 in his second minor-league rehab game with Class AA Bowie Wednesday, April 27. He has one hit in seven at-bats so far during his rehab assignment.
Fantasy Tip: Avoid Paredes in AL-only fantasy leagues and DFS play until he can officially return and prove his health in a full game or two without any setbacks.
Wed, 27 Apr 2016 22:44:40 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners should stick with Machado despite the hitless skid, as he is just too talented to not hit for very much longer.
Wed, 27 Apr 2016 22:43:54 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Trumbo is hitting .346 (15-for-46) over his past 12 games, and he remains a top-flight fantasy option despite the hitless game.
Wed, 27 Apr 2016 22:43:15 -0700
Baltimore Orioles SP Chris Tillman allowed just two hits and two walks over 6 2/3 scoreless innings while tying a career high with nine strikeouts Wednesday, April 27, against the Tampa Bay Rays in a win.
Fantasy Tip: Tillman has back-to-back quality starts after failing to record one in his first three outings. He has re-emerged as a must-start fantasy option in all AL-only leagues and deeper mixed play, and he is a solid DFS value while running hot. He is 2-0 with a 1.53 ERA in three outings against AL East opponents.

Fantasy Tip: Reimold had a .374 on-base percentage against southpaws last season, and he stands as a viable flier in daily contests Wednesday. In yearly leagues, he still should be left to cavernous mixed and AL-only formats. Alvarez is off to a horrific start (.186/.314/.256 slash line through 51 plate appearances) and doesn't project to see many at-bats against lefties when showing well at the dish to begin with. He is quickly becoming a tough start in all fantasy formats.
Wed, 27 Apr 2016 10:27:40 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Machado is off to a blazing start this year and has already proven he's one of the best all-around young third basemen in the game. He'll most likely be a surefire first-round fantasy pick in 2017, but extra games in a competitive environment before the season starts may have some a little wary.
Tue, 26 Apr 2016 23:46:50 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Trumbo finished 2-for-4 with an RBI, his 17th of the season. He has re-emerged as a must-start fantasy option since landing in Balto.
