Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Ramos ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) in all fantasy formats Friday. He is beginning to show a little more life at the dish of late, though. The backstop has two doubles, three home runs and seven RBI over his past 11 games with a 1.068 OPS. Lobaton ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) owns a .178/.245/.222 slash line since the All-Star break and is nothing more than a desperation source of cap relief at FantasyScore Friday.

Fantasy Tip: Garcia ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) has flashed some pop, but he has done most of his damage against lefties, so it isn't a great matchup for him Friday. FantasyScore players should view Garcia as nothing more than a flier. He projects to split time with Olivera ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) down the stretch, and neither should be lineup fixtures in the majority of seasonal leagues at this point.

Fantasy Tip: Swisher ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) has been a nice add to the middle of the Braves lineup. He owns a .822 OPS with three home runs and 11 RBI over his 22 game with Atlanta. Still, he is nothing more than a low-end option in cavernous mixed and NL-only seasonal leagues. Bourn ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) is sporting an uninspiring .227/.301/.271 slash line this season, so FantasyScore players should chase more upside or better values around his price range.

Fantasy Tip: In seven starts since Aug. 1, Wisler ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) has posted a 9.20 ERA, with 32 earned runs allowed over 31 1/3 innings. He is scheduled to make his next start against the offensively-challenged Philadelphia Phillies Tuesday, Sept. 8, but his recent body of work strongly suggests that he should be avoided in FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: The Braves have said Bethancourt ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) will see the majority of time behind the plate in the season's final month over A.J. Pierzynski, but Bethancourt just hasn't shown he can hit at the major league level. Until he shows that the light bulb is on, it's hard to rely on him at FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: While Pierzynski ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) is facing one of the tougher matchups Thursday, he still could be one of the safer catcher plays on FantasyScore, with a short slate of games and many starting catchers being rested.

Atlanta Braves OF Nick Markakis is not in the lineup against Miami Marlins left-handed SP Adam Conley Wednesday, Sept. 2. OF Nick Swisher moves over to right field and is hitting fifth, while 3B Adonis Garcia is starting in left field and hitting cleanup.
Fantasy Tip: Both Swisher ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) and Garcia ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) qualify as sleeper plays worth considering against the hittable Conley this afternoon, with Swisher likely giving you more bang for your buck.

Fantasy Tip: Castro isn't a good option on FantasyScore despite a good matchup against Adam Conley.

Fantasy Tip: Bethancourt ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) isn't a good option on FantasyScore despite a good matchup against Adam Conley.
Wed, 02 Sep 2015 07:33:00 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Simmons ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) is a low-end option with a good matchup against Adam Conley.
Tue, 01 Sep 2015 21:45:49 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Perez ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) could be a decent mid-level FantasyScore option against a struggling offense from Miami. The Marlins are averaging just 3.0 runs per game over their past 10.

Fantasy Tip: With Banuelos ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) looking at a limited workload, his fantasy value is capped significantly Tuesday, and FantasyScore players should look elsewhere. The rookie's 4.51 FIP also highlights regression may be looming over his 2.49 ERA, and this will be his first start since being activated from the disabled list.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) hasn't made a start all season, so it is unlikely he'll return much for fantasy players in any format. Still, it is an intriguing matchup. FantasyScore players can fade Jackson confidently, but owners in NL-only and cavernous mixed leagues could take on the risk. Just make sure he doesn't pitch Tuesday, and he is confirmed as the starter for Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: Olivera was a highly touted prospect signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers and then dealt to the Braves. Wait and see how he does in his first game or two before starting to consider him for FantasyScore purposes.
