Atlanta Braves SP Shelby Miller struck out 10 batters over five innings while allowing five runs -- four earned -- on eight hits and three walks during the Braves 6-1 loss to the Washington Nationals Tuesday, June 30.
Fantasy Tip: Miller ($8,500, 17.0% of cap) has gone eight starts without a win, and he was last victorious Sunday, May 17. Before his hiccup Tuesday, Miller had a 2.70 ERA over his previous seven outings, so he has been a tough-luck loser. The lack of wins hurts in all formats.

Washington Nationals SP Jordan Zimmermann struck out six batters over 7 2/3 scoreless innings while allowing just six hits and no walks during the Nationals' 6-1 win over the Atlanta Braves Tuesday, June 30.
Fantasy Tip: Zimmermann ($7,700, 15.4% of cap) hasn't allowed a run over his past two starts, and his ERA is down to 3.16 for the season. He is an excellent No. 2 starter in seasonal formats, and while in a groove, FantasyScore players can turn to him with confidence. Just note, he isn't a high-strikeout arm consistently, so there is an upside hit there.

Atlanta Braves SP Manny Banuelos is expected to be called up from Class AAA Gwinnett in order to make his major league debut and start against the Washington Nationals Thursday, July 2. He'll be facing Nationals SP Max Scherzer. Banuelos, a lefty, was 6-2 with a 2.29 ERA and a .215 opponents' average against in 15 starts for Gwinnett. He struck out 69, walked 38 and allowed just two home runs in 82 2/3 frames. The Braves are expected to limit Banuelos' innings to 120 to 130 this year after he came back from Tommy John surgery last year. He could make just a start or two in place of SP Williams Perez (foot) before he returns from the disabled list.
Fantasy Tip: Banuelos is worth a look in NL-only and deep mixed leagues, but don't spend too much of your FAAB money on him since his stay in the majors could be short. At FantasyScore, it'd be unwise to use him right off the bat against the Nationals Thursday.

Fantasy Tip: You'll have to stay patient with Freeman and keep him stashed in a DL spot. Joey Terdoslavich ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) and Chris Johnson ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) will likely continue splitting time at first in the meantime, but neither should be fantasy options aside from in the deepest of leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Johnson ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) probably is sitting out because the team is facing a left-handed pitcher. Gomes ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) has only one hit in his last eight games and is not the best option for owners on FantasyScore.
Sun, 28 Jun 2015 07:58:46 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Uribe ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) should return to the lineup in the near future. Ciriaco ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has done very well in his limited playing time this month with a .458 batting average and six RBI. Owners on FantasyScore could consider Ciriaco if they want to save money but there may be better options available.
Sun, 28 Jun 2015 07:52:59 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Johnson ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) has at least one hit in three of his last five games but is hitting only .171 this month. Owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options to use at the position.
Sat, 27 Jun 2015 17:27:28 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Teheran ($5,100, 10.2% of cap) has struggled with consistency all year, and he has been brutal on the road. He is a risky play at FantasyScore in general, and he shouldn't even be considered away from Turner Field.
Sat, 27 Jun 2015 16:23:34 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Peterson ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) broke out of a 1-for-21 slump with a couple knocks Saturday. He's a solid midrange option on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Manny Banuelos is a candidate to come up with a 6-2 record, a 2.03 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP in 14 starts at Triple-A. He would be an NL-only grab and a matchup play on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Terdoslavich ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is 3-for-13 this season but is not a great starting option this afternoon in FantasyScore.
Sat, 27 Jun 2015 12:56:41 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Johnson ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is hitting .292 this month and is 2-for-5 in his career against Morton, making him worthy of consideration as a low-end outfield option.
Sat, 27 Jun 2015 12:52:44 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Maybin ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) has had a productive June, batting .337 with one home run and 14 RBIs and is available for a relative bargain in FantasyScore. He is 2-for-3 in his career against Morton.
Sat, 27 Jun 2015 12:43:40 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Pierzynski ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) is batting .294 over the past week and has one hit in three career at-bats against Morton. He's worthy of consideration as a low-end catching option in FantasyScore.
Fri, 26 Jun 2015 13:25:21 -0700
Atlanta Braves C A.J. Pierzynski is not in the starting lineup Friday, June 26. C Ryan Lavarnway is starting behind the plate and batting eighth against Pittsburgh Pirates SP Francisco Liriano Friday.
Fantasy Tip: Pierzynski ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) is bouncing back slightly after a disastrous May. Still, his seasonal value is tied to being a low-end option in two-catcher, cavernous mixed and NL-only leagues. Lavarnway ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is a career .192 hitter through 312 at-bats, so FantasyScore players can fade him without concern.
