Fantasy Tip: The good news is that it sounds like Teheran has avoided a serious injury. Check back to see if he will be able to make his next start.

Fantasy Tip: Teheran has been stout this year, so don't make any quick roster moves. Stay tuned for updates on the exact nature of his injury and a potential timeline.

Fantasy Tip: Gant had a 4.45 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in four starts for the Braves this year, but his 9.2 K/9 was encouraging for those in deeper setups. It's unclear if he'll get another shot at a rotation gig when he's healthy, but those in mixed leagues should be watching from afar anyways.

Atlanta Braves OF Jeff Francoeur, 2B Gordon Beckham and RP Jim Johnson, who are all pending free agents, are the prime focus of Atlanta's trade talks as the deadline nears. OFs Ender Inciarte and Nick Markakis are also involved, but there's less of a chance they'll be traded.
Fantasy Tip: Francoeur, Beckham and Johnson aren't likely to be anything more than depth for any team that acquires them in a trade this summer. Francoeur can be useful in NL-only and daily leagues in the right lefty matchups. Beckham contributes modestly across all categories for NL-only middle infield depth. Right now, Johnson is a candidate for saves in Atlanta with Arodys Vizcaino shelved, but he's already shown he's a shaky option there.

Fantasy Tip: It's amazing how quickly things can change, as Harrell was struggling in Korea as recent as last year. Now, after a decent showing in four starts with the Braves -- his first starts in the big leagues since the beginning of 2014, remember -- he could wind up on a contender. The former Houston Astro will really only hold any value if he remains in the National League.

Fantasy Tip: Smith should help out in the steals department down the stretch, and he is worth stashing in NL-only and deeper mixed formats.

Fantasy Tip: Despite the control issues, plenty of pitchers have had worse outings at Coors Field. Foltynewicz has shown enough potential to be owned in NL-only formats and deeper mixed leagues.

Atlanta Braves 1B Freddie Freeman (rib cage) is 2-for-23 (.087) in six games since the All-Star break, with one home run, one RBI, two walks and 13 strikeouts. He insisted on playing through a recent rib-cage injury that prevented him from taking batting practice, which may have hindered his production at the plate.
Fantasy Tip: It sounds like Freeman is past the injury, but his struggles are a huge concern because his supporting cast aren't going to help his fantasy cause any. For the year, he sits with 45 runs, 17 home runs, 35 RBI and a .273/.360/.501 slash line. It isn't a complete disappointment, but given his preseason billing, more was expected.

Atlanta Braves SP Lucas Harrell was pretty good in his start Wednesday, July 20, but it wasn't enough as he fell to the Cincinnati Reds. Harrell went six innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, including a home run. He also struck out three and issued three walks.
Fantasy Tip: Harrell was probably a bit better than his final statline, as he did carry a shutout into the sixth before things came apart for the 31-year-old journeyman. The former Houston Astro has now gone at least six innings in three of his four starts, while flirting with usefulness in NL-only leagues. He still has to show some more consistency to prove he can be trusted in his newfound situation with the Braves.

Atlanta Braves 2B Gordon Beckham is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, July 20. 2B Jace Peterson is starting at the keystone and leading off against Cincinnati Reds SP Anthony DeSclafani Wednesday.
Fantasy Tip: Beckham is just 6-for-31 since returning from the disabled list Thursday, July 7, but he does have two home runs. If he can tread water at the dish and remain in the leadoff spot, he'll be a low-end starting option in cavernous mixed and NL-only leagues. Peterson had an excellent June (.352/.420/.493 slash line), but has gone just 10-for-42 in July and is nothing more than a depth option in cavernous mixed and NL-only settings. He's also nothing more than a low-priced flier in daily contests Wednesday.

Atlanta Braves INF Chase d'Arnaud is starting in left field and batting second against Cincinnati Reds SP Anthony DeSclafani Wednesday, July 20. OF Jeff Francoeur is not in the starting lineup Wednesday.
Fantasy Tip: D'Arnaud boasts modest contact skills and an ability to reach base, but his .263/.335/.365 slash line hardly stops traffic, and it's an unfavorable matchup against DeSclafani. View d'Arnaud as a low-end depth piece in cavernous mixed and NL-only leagues and it's likely best to fade him in daily contests Wednesday. Francoeur's steady playing time (13 starts in July) makes him a volume own in the deepest of leagues, but he hardly moves the fantasy needle with a .677 OPS and just five home runs for the campaign.

Atlanta Braves RP Jim Johnson blew his third save of the season Tuesday, July 19, against the Cincinnati Reds. He wasn't able to make it out of the ninth inning, recording only two outs while surrendering two runs on four hits.
Fantasy Tip: This was Johnson's first save opportunity since closer Arodys Vizcaino landed on the disabled list, and it didn't exactly pan out he wanted. While the Braves ended up winning the game anyway, this could end up being costly for Johnson, who now owns a 4.59 ERA on the year. If this continues, Hunter Cervenka or Mauricio Cabrera could eventually challenge for save opportunities while Vizcaino is sidelined.

Atlanta Braves SP Tyrell Jenkins was pretty good in his start Tuesday, July 19, versus the Cincinnati Reds. The right-hander went six innings, allowing two runs on four hits, including a homer. He also walked four and struck out two.
Fantasy Tip: Not a terrific outing, but certainly an acceptable one from the 24-year-old making just his second career major league start. He's yielded only three combined runs over those two assignments, which should place him on the radar in deep formats. Unfortunately, he was robbed of his first career victory when Jim Johnson blew the save in the ninth, but there's certainly some potential here despite the team he pitches for.

Atlanta Braves 3B Adonis Garcia went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored Monday, July 18, against the Cincinnati Reds. It wasn't all great, as he was caught stealing. Garcia has hit safely in all five games against Cincinnati this season, posting two homers with 11 hits in 22 at-bats (.500).
Fantasy Tip: Garcia's fantasy value remains limited to deeper NL-only formats, although he is a solid low-priced DFS option when facing Cincinnati pitching.

Fantasy Tip: Wisler has yielded 12 runs and 16 hits, including five homers, in 10 innings over his past two outings. He is 4-9 with a 4.76 ERA and 1.32 WHIP and he is only worth keeping in the deepest of NL-only fantasy formats at this point.
