Arizona Diamondbacks C Welington Castillo has been working on his approach and it paid off with two home runs Wednesday, July 29, against the Seattle Mariners. "I'm thinking middle all the way and looking for my pitch and not trying to miss," Castillo said. "I'm putting my best swing on it and seeing what happens," said Castillo.
Fantasy Tip: Castillo ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has been benefiting from additional at-bats, and he went 3-for-9 with three home runs in the first two games of the series against his former team. Castillo has eight home runs since joining the D-Backs, and he's a high upside option that can be used in GPP tournaments on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: De La Rosa ($5,300, 10.6% of cap) has posted good results over the past couple of outings, and he should rack up big strikeout totals against the Astros, who strike out more than anyone in the American League.

Fantasy Tip: Castillo's ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) performance was impressive enough, but his homers came off of Felix Hernandez which is even more impressive.

Fantasy Tip: Pennington ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) should be ignored in all daily contests.

Fantasy Tip: Tomas ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) has been struggling at the plate a bit in July, going 18-for-75 (.240) with 26 strikeouts and two home runs. It's unlikely that he'll get back on track today against King Felix and the M's. Tomas is a risky daily play.

Fantasy Tip: Castillo ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is a catcher to avoid on FantasyScore today against one of the better pitchers in all of baseball.
Tue, 28 Jul 2015 17:57:38 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Hernandez ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is a solid low-priced option at backstop in FantasyScore, allowing you to save thousands in salary to allocate at other more valuable spots.

Fantasy Tip: Salty ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is a decent low-priced alternative at receiver in FantasyScore, and he will save you valuable salary to spread across more valuable positions.

Arizona Diamondbacks C Welington Castillo (elbow) is not in the starting lineup Tuesday, July 28, against the Seattle Mariners. Castillo's elbow is better, and he is expected to return Wednesday, July 29.
Fantasy Tip: Castillo ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) was hit on the elbow by a pitch so he is getting a day off. The injury doesn't sound tremendously seriously, but avoid him in FantasyScore until he can officially return and prove his health.

Fantasy Tip: Chapman's ability to toss a 100 mile an hour fastball is attracting plenty of attention from teams, but the asking price for Chapman may be too high, according to some sources. Chapman remains one of the best relief pitchers on the market and in fantasy leagues.

Arizona Diamondbacks SS Dansby Swanson (concussion) suffered a concussion and received 14 stitches on the side of his mouth after he was hit in the face by a pitch in a simulated game Thursday, July 23.
Fantasy Tip: The No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft was hit in the face by fellow prospect Yoan Lopez. Swanson was expected to begin his minor league career this week, but that has been pushed back. Swanson is still a worthwhile dynasty league commodity.

Fantasy Tip: It's probably unlikely the D-backs land Hamels ($8,900, 17.8% of cap), but even a move to Arizona and the National League West would likely be at least a small upgrade to his fantasy value. He remains a true fantasy ace that should become more valuable even with a move to the American League.

Fantasy Tip: Hellickson ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) has allowed two runs or less in four straight starts, and he is worth using as a source of cap relief at FantasyScore while he is pitching this well.

Arizona Diamondbacks 3B Jake Lamb went 2-for-4 with a triple, double, RBI and run scored in a 3-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers Sunday, July 26, and he admitted to being rusty while he was working his way back from a foot injury.
Fantasy Tip: Lamb ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) hasn't shown much power this season, so his two extra-base hits Sunday are an encouraging sign. For now, you can find other players in the same price range at FantasyScore that offer more potential.
Sat, 25 Jul 2015 15:31:38 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Inciarte ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) is 11-for-26 (.423) the last seven days. He doesn't hit for any power, and you'd like to have at least some power potential when you get close to the $4,000 range. He's facing rookie Taylor Jungmann, who has been solid, and Inciarte doesn't have a lot of upside on FantasyScore.
