Fantasy Tip: Continue to stash Corbin in cavernous mixed and NL-only leagues, but he won't be an immediate must-start arm when he returns. It would be wise to be patient with him in all formats, and especially in FantasyScore contests. Continue to check back for updates on Corbin's recovery and a new timeline for his return.

Fantasy Tip: Lake is a viable flier for cap relief in daily contests Friday, but he isn't without risk. He has just 15 plate appearances at the highest level this season, and he is only a career .244 hitter.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Hill ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) in all fantasy formats Friday. He has caught fire of late and is currently sporting a .975 OPS since Wednesday, May 6, with seven runs, two home runs, nine RBI and two stolen bases.

Fantasy Tip: With tough-lefty Jon Lester on the hill, Peralta ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) slides into a bench role and should be avoided in all fantasy formats Friday. Peralta does his best work against right-handed pitchers, as he sports a career .305/.342/.510 slash line against righties.

Arizona Diamondbacks SP Patrick Corbin (elbow) will be given more time to return from Tommy John surgery after he allowed three runs in five innings in an intrasquad game at extended spring training Monday, May 18. Corbin's velocity dipped a bit in his last extended spring outing, and he allowed seven hits while striking out six and walking one.
Fantasy Tip: Corbin should be stashed at least in deep mixed and NL-only leagues if he isn't already, because he could be a real asset once he returns to a major league mound. However, it's unclear who he'd bump from the rotation at this time, with the most likely candidate being Jeremy Hellickson ($3,200, 6.4% of cap). Stay tuned.

Fantasy Tip: Collmenter ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) will be a risk/reward play at FantasyScore tomorrow night. He is striking out only 4.2 hitters per nine innings this year, but on the other hand, the Cubbies lead all of baseball with 387 strikeouts as a team.
Thu, 21 May 2015 14:08:25 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Tomas ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) is a hitting machine right now, and he's hitting .351 (20-for-57) with a home run and seven RBI in May. Despite the lack of fence-clearing power right now, Tomas is as good an option as you're going to find at FantasyScore at that price.
Thu, 21 May 2015 07:01:16 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Peralta ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is playing well of late with six runs, a home run, nine RBI, a stolen base and a .313/.333/.500 slash line over his past 14 games. He is also a career .309 hitting against right-handed pitchers. At his cap hit, Peralta is a solid low-priced target for FantasyScore players.

Fantasy Tip: Hill's ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) bat has earned him more playing time recently, as he is 18-for-51 (.353 batting average) with 10 runs, three home runs, 10 RBI and two stolen bases with a .988 OPS. While hitting well, he is a nice low-priced target for FantasyScore players when he is in the lineup and facing a favorable pitching matchup.

Arizona Diamondbacks 1B Paul Goldschmidt is not in the starting lineup against the Miami Marlins Thursday, May 21. He is currently just 4-for-24 during the current road trip. OF Mark Trumbo is playing first base and batting fifth Thursday.
Fantasy Tip: Make sure to remove Goldschmidt ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) from your lineups Thursday. Despite his recent slide at the plate, Goldschmidt is still sporting a .317/.418/.600 slash line with 30 runs, 10 home runs, 32 RBI and six stolen bases. He is a high-end option in all fantasy formats.
Wed, 20 May 2015 21:03:54 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Anderson ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) has pitched very well in his four May starts and has allowed only three earned runs in 26 1/3 innings in those starts. He is scheduled to face the St. Louis Cardinals in his next start and may be a risky option.
Wed, 20 May 2015 20:55:32 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Peralta ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) is hitting .287 so far this season but has only four RBI over his last 10 games. Peralta could be an option for owners on FantasyScore depending on the matchup.
Wed, 20 May 2015 18:52:55 -0700
Arizona Diamondbacks OF A.J. Pollock became the first player in franchise history to steal second, third and home in the same game, Wednesday, May 20. Pollock is just the sixth player in the MLB to accomplish the feat since 1999.
Fantasy Tip: Pollock ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) already had six stolen bases before adding three more to his total. Pollock could easily reach double digit steals by the end of May, and he seems like a near lock to soar past his career high of 14 set last season.
Wed, 20 May 2015 13:25:47 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Ahmed ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) is hitting only .181 (17-for-94) with no home runs and five RBI this year. He's facing a pitcher that has been very strong this year, too, especially against righty sticks. Avoid Ahmed everywhere.

Arizona Diamondbacks OF Mark Trumbo is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, May 20. OFs Ender Inciarte and A.J. Pollock will hit at the top of the Arizona lineup against Miami Marlins SP David Phelps.
Fantasy Tip: Inciarte ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) and Pollock ($4,100, 8.2% of cap), both left-handed hitters, have done a fine job setting the table for Arizona this year. However, they're just midrange FantasyScore options today against Phelps, who hasn't allowed a home run all season and is going in a pitcher-friendly park tonight.
