Fantasy Tip: With Tuffy Gosewisch getting injured last night, Saltalamacchia could split time behind the dish with Jordan Pacheco in the desert. Salty hit just .069 (2-for-29) before being released by the Miami Marlins earlier this year. He's worth considering in deep NL-only leagues if he sees enough playing time, but he should be avoided at FantasyScore, at least to start.

Arizona Diamondbacks 3B Jake Lamb (foot) went 2-for-4 in an extended spring training game Wednesday, May 27, and could start a rehab assignment in the near future. He is expected to serve as a designated hitter in an extended spring training game Thursday, May 28.
Fantasy Tip: Lamb ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) is making progress in his recovery and could return to the team in the next few weeks. It is not known if he would start when he rejoins the team, so owners may want to see what his role would be before considering him as an option.

Fantasy Tip: Gosewisch ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) may have to go on the 15-day disabled list if the injury is more than day-to-day. Jordan Pacheco ($1,700, 3.4% of cap) could receive more playing time but is not a great option on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor the situation to see when Gosewisch ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) will be able to return to the lineup. Gosewisch is hitting only .211 this season and probably is not a great option on FantasyScore when he returns.

Fantasy Tip: Ahmed ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) could continue to be an under-the-radar sleeper play at FantasyScore tonight against St. Louis Cardinals starter Lance Lynn, but hitting eighth in the batting order limits his upside.
Wed, 27 May 2015 14:43:30 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Trumbo ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) is mired in an 8-for-43 run with a .558 OPS over his past 12 games. He also has just one home run and two RBI during the stretch. Until Trumbo picks it up at the dish, he is a high-risk, high-reward option going forward in FantasyScore contests, including Wednesday.
Wed, 27 May 2015 14:37:32 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Tomas ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is riding a 10-game hit streak with three runs, a home run, nine RBI and a .435/.447/.609 slash line. It isn't a plus-matchup against Lance Lynn, but Tomas is scoring hot and a worthy FantasyScore option, especially at his cap-friendly price. He should be owned in all seasonal formats, and his value is rising.
Wed, 27 May 2015 14:20:46 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Hill ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) in all fantasy formats Wednesday. He is mired in a 2-for-22 funk with a single run and RBI over his past nine games, so his seasonal value is currently fading. Pennington ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is batting .186 over 43 at-bats this season, and he should be viewed as a desperation source of cap relief in FantasyScore contests Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: Pollock ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) looks a bit more attractive to FantasyScore users in a run-producing spot in the lineup behind Paul Goldschmidt. Pollock is hitting .417 (15-for-36) with a home run and six RBI against southpaws this year, making him an attractive player tonight. Garcia is making just his second start of the season, too.

Arizona Diamondbacks RP Enrique Burgos (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day disabled list due to right shoulder tendonitis Tuesday, May 26. The team recalled RP Vidal Nuno from Class AAA Reno in a corresponding move.
Fantasy Tip: With Brad Ziegler locking down the closing job for the time being, coupled with Burgos' injury, you can drop him in most fantasy formats now. Addison Reed could eventually work his way back into ninth-inning duties, but it'll likely take a stumble from Ziegler for that to happen.
Mon, 25 May 2015 12:24:59 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Peralta ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has at least one hit in only five of his last 11 games but is hitting .246 in May. Owners on FantasyScore should be able to find a better option to use in their lineups.
Mon, 25 May 2015 12:12:52 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Pollock ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) should return to the starting lineup in the near future. David Peralta ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) will take his placed in the starting lineup but may not be the best option for owners on FantasyScore.
Mon, 25 May 2015 02:02:53 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Arroyo ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) could give Arizona's rotation a much-needed jolt in the next few weeks. Monitor his progress and allow some extra time for him to settle in once activated.
Sun, 24 May 2015 12:22:03 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Pacheco ($1,700, 3.4% of cap) is only batting .207 during the month of May. Unless you're a FantasyScore owner looking for salary cap relief at the backstop position, look elsewhere.
Sun, 24 May 2015 11:55:37 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Tomas ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) is receiving the day off, despite batting .406 with five RBIs over the last seven days. Hill ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) has struggled of late, with three hits in his last 18 at-bats, while Owings ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) has been even worse, with only two hits in his last 24 at-bats.
