Fantasy Tip: De La Rosa made an adjustment to his approach a couple of starts ago, and he has allowed five hits and one run while striking out 16 over his last 13 innings. The success may not continue, but his strikeout potential makes him worth a look in deeper mixed formats.

Arizona Diamondbacks C Welington Castillo is not in the starting lineup Thursday, April 28. C Chris Herrmann is starting behind the plate and batting sixth against St. Louis Cardinals SP Michael Wacha Thursday.
Fantasy Tip: Castillo is picking up where he left off in 2015 after joining the Diamondbacks, as he has six home runs and 12 RBI with a .290/.351/.580 slash line to start the season. Herrmann has a tough matchup against Wacha, and he should be viewed as a low-end start Thursday, especially in daily contests. Plus, Herrmann is just 3-for-25 to start the season.

Arizona Diamondbacks OF Yasmany Tomas is not in the starting lineup Thursday, April 28. 3B/OF Brandon Drury is starting in left field and batting fifth against St. Louis Cardinals SP Michael Wacha Thursday.
Fantasy Tip: Tomas has paid off for fantasy owners who targeted him as a breakout candidate entering the season. The sophomore currently sits with 16 runs, five home runs and 12 RBI with a .288/.333/.563 slash line. Similarly, Drury has fared well when given an opportunity with a .298/.317/.526 line through 60 plate appearances. He is a risky start in the tough matchup against Wacha Thursday, though.

Fantasy Tip: It was an ugly performance for Corbin who saw his record slip to 1-3 with a 4.88 ERA. He hasn't been very ace-like and is killing his fantasy owners. There is still plenty of time to turn it around, however, and you should stick it out and not compound the problem by dropping him and watching Corbin get hot with another fantasy owners team.

Fantasy Tip: Tomas entered the day with the longest active streak in the National League. He is still hitting .333 (19-for-57) with 15 runs scored, five homers and eight RBIs over the past 13 games to make him a must-start fantasy option until he cools off.
Wed, 27 Apr 2016 23:55:05 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Segura is hitting a cool .350 with a sparkling .932 OPS, and he has hit safely in each of his past seven games. He has emerged as a must-start in all fantasy formats.

Arizona Diamondbacks C Welington Castillo has been hot at the plate over the past seven days. In five games, he's hitting 9-for-22 (.409) with four home runs, nine RBI, seven runs scored and he even has a stolen base.
Fantasy Tip: Castillo began to make his case during spring training as one of baseball's most underrated catchers, and that success has evidently poured into the regular season. The former Chicago Cub is solidifying himself as a legitimate starting fantasy catcher, even in standard leagues, and owners should pounce if he's still out there. Plus, it also helps he plays half his games in a hitter-friendly park.

Arizona Diamondbacks INF/OF Chris Owings is not in the starting lineup against St. Louis Cardinals SP Adam Wainwright Wednesday, April 27. OF David Peralta will start in center field, while OF Brandon Drury will start in right field and is batting seventh in the lineup.
Fantasy Tip: Drury has been on a hot streak recently with 12 hits and four RBI over his last eight games. He could be a starting candidate in some daily fantasy leagues even though he is facing one of the better pitchers in the National League.
Tue, 26 Apr 2016 23:45:49 -0700
Arizona Diamondbacks SP Shelby Miller allowed five earned runs, five hits and four walks with six strikeouts over five innings in a loss Tuesday, April 26, against the St. Louis Cardinals, his former team.
Fantasy Tip: Miller's ERA slipped to 8.69 on the season. He worked four scoreless innings before getting hammered for five runs in the fifth inning. He can no longer be trusted in any fantasy format until he strings together a good start or two.
Tue, 26 Apr 2016 23:45:21 -0700
Arizona Diamondbacks SP Josh Collmenter (shoulder) threw one inning in an extended spring training game Monday, April 25, and he worked another inning in the bullpen. He will work in an extended spring game Thursday, April 28 before he heads out to Class A Visalia for a minor-league rehab assignment.
Fantasy Tip: It's uncertain in what capacity Collmenter will work when he returns to the big club. Avoid him in fantasy leagues until his situation becomes more certain.

Fantasy Tip: Tomas is 19-for-53 (.358) with five homers and eight RBIs during his hit streak, longest active run in the National League. Needless to say he is a must-start fantasy option across all formats.
Mon, 25 Apr 2016 23:24:09 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Segura is hitting .400 at home and .352 overall. He's a daily consideration in DFS.
Mon, 25 Apr 2016 15:29:58 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Lamb will often be rested against southpaws, so take note of that across all fantasy formats. Drury has nine hits in his last 22 at-bats, including a home run, triple and three RBI in five games. He's a consideration as a daily sleeper, but keep in mind he's facing a pitcher that has a 2.70 ERA in three starts this season.

Arizona Diamondbacks SS/2B Jean Segura is among the league leaders in hits, three-hit games, multi-hit games and total bases, and he has 28 hits in the first 20 games of the year, which is the most by an Arizona player since OF Justin Upton had 28 in 2008. Segura is batting .324 with five RBI in his last seven games and is hitting .367 at home.
Fantasy Tip: It's a great start for Segura and his owners, but it won't last at this rate. For one, he's already hit half of his home run total from last year, and his .352 batting average on balls in play (BAPIB) is well over his career norm. Now would be the right time to sell high on Segura.

Arizona Diamondbacks C Welington Castillo went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, two runs scored, a walk and a steal in a 12-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates Sunday, April 24, and all six of his home runs have come in the last seven games.
Fantasy Tip: Castillo's bat came to life after joining Arizona in the middle of last season, and he is picking up where he left off. He is starting-caliber catcher in just about any format and a great DFS play during his current hot streak.
