Red Bull Racing announced Friday, Feb. 10, that driver Landon Cassill will drive the No. 83 Toyota in the Daytona 500 and at least the first five races of the 2012 Sprint Cup season. Cassill has never raced in the Daytona 500. He said he has a deal in place to drive with the team all year. Doug Richert will serve as Cassill's crew chief. Sponsorship will be announced in the coming days.

Roush Fenway Racing driver Carl Edwards finished second, with Stewart-Haas Racing driver Tony Stewart finishing third. Edwards takes a three-point Chase lead into the final Cup event next weekend.

Vickers is participating in a two-day tire test in Florida. "(Monday) was just a huge weight off of my shoulders, not only for myself, but for the guys on the team," Vickers said.
