Washington Redskins CB Josh Norman said there are similarities between the Redskins' defense and his former team, the Carolina Panthers' defense. Norman added that Washington gives their cornerbacks a little more freedom on the outside compared to Carolina.

Washington Redskins LB Junior Galette (Achilles') will be out until training camp while he recovers from his Achilles' injury, according to head coach Jay Gruden. Gruden also said that LB Perry Riley (foot) is in a walking boot and is having his injured foot rechecked after feeling soreness.

Washington Redskins TE Niles Paul appears to have bulked up this offseason as the Redskins started organized team activities this week. Paul gained at least 20 pounds last offseason but lost all of that weight while sitting out due to his ankle injury.
Fantasy Tip: Paul was a force to be reckoned with while Jordan Reed was injured. Reed quickly took over stardom, though, and never looked back. Paul will continue to play second fiddle as long as Reed is healthy, so his fantasy value is minimal.

Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson has not participated in voluntary workouts this week, but he has visited the Redskins. Head coach Jay Gruden said Jackson knows what kind of shape he has to be in and does expect him to participate in other voluntary workouts.
Fantasy Tip: Jackson only played in nine games last season, so health will be key for him this offseason and throughout 2016. He's Washington's best deep threat and is still worth consideration as a low-end WR2 in standard leagues.

Free-agent RB Pierre Thomas (Redskins) is still receiving interest from the Washington Redskins, but Thomas may want to wait until the season begins before signing with a team like he did last season.
Fantasy Tip: Thomas recorded 52 rushing yards and 84 receiving yards in limited playing time with the Redskins in 2016. He could re-sign with the Redskins but likely would not have much fantasy value in most leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Foster should be able to find a job in the near future, but it appears that Washington will look for other options if they want add another running back. Foster probably will be a No. 2 or No. 3 running back for fantasy owners depending on where he plays.

Washington Redskins CB Kendall Fuller (knee) estimated that he is 90-95% strength and will be ready for training camp July 28. Fuller had microfracture surgery last fall to repair cartilage in his right knee. The Redskins say they're optimistic about Fuller's recovery because it was a tiny area being repaired, which meant he needed fewer incisions.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson and Doctson currently have the most fantasy appeal in Washington, but don't completely disregard Garcon, either. Crowder is a sneaky sleeper candidate after tallying 59 catches for 604 yards and two touchdowns in his rookie season, but don't view him as more than a WR5 at best in the Redskins' packed wide receiver corps.

Washington Redskins CB Kyshoen Jarrett (shoulder, neck) may not be able to play in 2016, and his career may be in jeopardy, too. Jarrett is waiting for the results of his most recent specialist visit regarding nerve damage in his shoulder and neck, according to head coach Jay Gruden.

Fantasy Tip: Roberts never took off after showing signs in Arizona, and the move shouldn't come as a surprise. He could still catch on with a team and be worthy of a WR5 flyer in the right situation.

Washington Redskins WR Josh Doctson said he is working on learning the new routes he will have to run in the NFL. "A lot of the routes are deeper," Doctson said. "A lot of deep in-breaking routes. I probably didn't run one double move in college and we have a whole arsenal of double moves here. It's a little different in and out of breaks, getting your hips around. Things like that."
Fantasy Tip: It likely will take some time for Doctson to learn the new offense but should have a solid role in the passing game. He probably would be a decent option in the late rounds of deeper leagues and likely will be more valuable in keeper leagues.
