Redskins | Terrelle Pryor working out the kinks

Sat, 27 May 2017 18:22:18 -0700

Washington Redskins WR Terrelle Pryor said the offense was a little sloppy when OTAs began but is improving thanks to a total team effort. "We're getting better, and we're a long ways away, but I think tomorrow is going to be a brighter day."

Fantasy Tip: After the departures of Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson over the offseason, Pryor could find himself as the go-to weapon for Kirk Cousins. He is well worth a look as a WR3.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins upbeat about extension talks

Sat, 27 May 2017 15:38:40 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins recently characterized his talks about a contract extension as "really positive" and appears content with whatever happens leading up to the July 15 league deadline for franchise-tagged players to hammer out a long-term deal, according to the Washington Post's Liz Clarke.

Fantasy Tip: It's easy for Cousins to be comfortable knowing he's probably going to receive at least $25 million per year beginning in 2018 no matter what the Redskins decide. Although he lost some important weapons and DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garçon via free agency, the addition of Terrelle Pryor and continued growth of Jamison Crowder should offset that a bit. Cousins should be a solid midrange QB1 in fantasy this season.

Redskins | Kirk Cousins working on timing

Fri, 26 May 2017 21:11:44 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins is still adjusting to throwing jumps ball and back-shoulder fades to WR Terrelle Pryor, according to head coach Jay Gruden.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor has elite size and athleticism, and he made a surprisingly quick transition to receiver last year. He could be Cousins' go-to target this season, and Pryor should be drafted as a high-upside WR3.

Redskins | Josh Doctson impressing

Thu, 25 May 2017 08:38:20 -0700

Washington Redskins WR Josh Doctson (Achilles') has been impressive in organized team activities, according to head coach Jay Gruden. "The big thing for him is the confidence in his Achilles', and I think he's got that right now," Gruden said. "The past two days he's looked better and better. It looks like he can run down the field. He made a good catch down the sideline today and (he has) strong hands, we know that about him."

Fantasy Tip: Doctson flashed enough talent to be chosen 22nd overall in the NFL draft last season. He'll have to compete for a larger role, but he's definitely worth consideration in the latter rounds of drafts.

Wed, 24 May 2017 06:18:56 -0700

Redskins | Kirk Cousins could be tagged again

Tue, 23 May 2017 07:32:51 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins could receive a third consecutive franchise tag next offseason, according to team president Bruce Allen. The cost of a third straight franchise tag would be $34 million in 2018.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins has had two brilliant seasons in a row, and there's very little risk with him as your midrange QB1 if you miss out on the studs.

Redskins | Josh Doctson will not be limited

Mon, 22 May 2017 16:35:52 -0700

Washington Redskins WR Josh Doctson (Achilles') will be a full participant during organized team activities this week, according to head coach Jay Gruden.

Fantasy Tip: Doctson was limited to two catches and 66 yards this past season because of his injury but may have the chance to start in 2017 after DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon left in free agency. Owners should monitor his situation during training camp to see what his role will be and can consider him a No. 4 receiver if he is a starter.

Redskins | Chris Thompson expects bigger role

Mon, 22 May 2017 06:00:08 -0700

Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson is expecting a bigger workload this season because he proved to head coach Jay Gruden that he was durable.

Fantasy Tip: Thompson is a sneaky PPR option after he posted 5.2 yards per carry and a 68-356-3 rushing line with a 49-349-2 receiving line. He'll play second fiddle to Rob Kelley, but he could be a solid RB4.

Redskins | WAS not moving linebackers to defensive end

Sun, 21 May 2017 07:34:02 -0700

The Washington Redskins are not expected to move any of their outside linebackers to defensive end, despite the logjam of players at the position created by the selection of LB Ryan Anderson in the second round of the draft.

Redskins | Josh Doctson finally healthy

Fri, 19 May 2017 18:48:10 -0700

Washington Redskins WR Josh Doctson (Achilles') has looked "quick and healthy" in offseason activities, according to JP Finlay of CSNMidAtlantic.com

Fantasy Tip: With Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson no longer in Washington, Doctson should see plenty of snaps. He has plenty of upside, but this will essentially be his rookie year thanks to last season's injury. Draft him as WR4 and hope he catches on quickly.

Redskins | Rob Kelley in shape

Wed, 17 May 2017 05:57:10 -0700

Washington Redskins RB Rob Kelley is in shape and ready for the season, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: With Kelley's weight issues behind him, he appears poised to battle rookie Samaje Perine for the lion's share. He had a 168-704-6 line rushing (4.2 yards per carry) and a 12-82-1 line receiving last year. He'll be a solid RB2 in fantasy.
