Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins will meet the New York Giants in Week 12. He will face a Giants pass defense which ranks last in the NFL, allowing 309.9 yards per game with 39 pass plays of 20 or more yards.
Fantasy Tip: Cousins ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) is a sharp mid-tier FantasyScore play since he'll be facing an awful pass defense. He threw for 316 yards with a touchdown in Week 3 in the first meeting with the Giants.

Fantasy Tip: Morris ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) had just two carries for zero yards before injuring his ribs last week. The injury doesn't look to be too serious, but you shouldn't trust Morris at all this week, even though the New York Giants are a top-10 fantasy matchup in PPR leagues.

Fantasy Tip: The oft-injured Reed is once again banged up, and his availability for Week 12 will now be in question against the New York Giants. Keep an eye on his practice status this week but be prepared to go in another direction.

Washington Redskins OT Trent Williams (knee) suffered a left knee cap contusion in Week 11. He had his knee wrapped heavily in ice after the game and was walking with a limp. However, tests showed no structural damage to Williams' knee, and he said he'll try to play in Week 12 against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Tip: If Thompson ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) wasn't stuck in neutral, Matt Jones ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) was coughing up the football. The Redskins are going to be in big trouble if they can't run the ball with Alfred Morris sidelined due to rib issues, and neither of these backups carry much FantasyScore value.

Fantasy Tip: Cousins ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) only threw one touchdown, a 56-yard bomb to DeSean Jackson. Cousins is improving but the end result was the Panthers' defense is just way too strong. Keep an eye on how good a defense Cousins faces before throwing him in each week.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to look for any updates on Reed's status in the next day or two. Reed entered the game with five touchdowns in his last three games. Derek Carrier likely would start if Reed misses time and is not a great fantasy option.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor the situation to see if Morris will have a chance to return to the game. Matt Jones will handle most of the work at running back and would be a solid starting option if Morris misses some games.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) has managed just 59 total yards in two games since returning from a hamstring injury, and a breakout performance is unlikely to come in Week 11 with Norman blanketing him.

Washington Redskins RBs Matt Jones and Chris Thompson, in particular, may be in line for more work in the screen game moving forward. Head coach Jay Gruden said he expects Washington to have more success with screens as the season goes on after finding success in that area last week. Gruden added that having a successful screen game is important, especially versus teams with a good pass rush.
Fantasy Tip: Matt Jones ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) certainly benefitted from screens last week, and Chris Thompson's main role is in the passing game. Jones probably has the most PPR value right now among Washington running backs. He's worth a look on FantasyScore this week as the Carolina Panthers have allowed the second-most receptions to running backs this year (61).

Fantasy Tip: Morris ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) had one of his better games against a historically bad New Orleans Saints defense. The script is flipped this week, as he's facing the undefeated Panthers and their stout run defense. This could be yet another week where Matt Jones outshines Morris.
