Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon said he does not want to be called a possession receiver because he can do more than what the Redskins asked him to do in 2016. "I definitely want people to stop thinking I'm a possession receiver because they gave me a job to do," Garcon said. "That doesn't mean I can't go deep and I can't run fast, because I ran fast and went deep this year more than I probably ever did. Every year is different from the playcalling. But I want people to stop thinking that I'm a slow guy, and I'm not slowing down anytime soon."
Fantasy Tip: Garcon will be a free agent this offseason and should receive interest from multiple teams if he hits the free-agent market. He finished the 2016 season with 79 catches for 1,041 yards and three touchdowns. Garcon should have a good chance to be a starter for a team next season and can be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver for fantasy owners.

Washington Redskins LB Junior Galette - an impending free agent who has missed the past two seasons with torn Achilles' tendons - has already talked with general manager Scot McCloughan about returning to the team on a one-year deal.

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt, who is about to become a free agent, has drawn interest from the Washington Redskins, according to a league source. It's considered that if the Redskins do not bring back WRs DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon, they would "likely" add veteran help during the offseason, with Britt being a viable option.
Fantasy Tip: Britt is coming off the best season of his eight-year career, setting new career highs in catches (68) and receiving yards (1,002) in 2016. It's even more impressive when considering that he accomplished those numbers while playing for the worst offense in the league. No matter where Britt ends up next season, it will likely be viewed as an upgrade for his fantasy outlook.

Fantasy Tip: The 32-year-old Davis had a bit of a renaissance season in 2016, recording his most catches (44) and receiving yards (583) in three years. He proved to be a valuable piece for the Redskins when the injury-prone Jordan Reed went down, so it makes sense the team would want to bring him back. However, when it comes to fantasy leagues, he'll only have notable value if and when Reed misses extended time again.

Washington Redskins WR Josh Doctson (foot) suggested to reporters he has not been given a certain diagnosis other than tendinitis and he "definitely" feels a difference after resting the injury since landing on the Reserve/Injured list prior to Week 7.
Fantasy Tip: Doctson was reportedly dealing with an Achilles' issue initially, but said doctors told him the injury was to his foot and "unique". The rookie suffered the injury in May and tried to gut it out for two games before he was shut down. With Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson set to hit free agency and the Redskins unlikely to retain either one, Doctson will be counted on to be no worse than the team's second-best receiver in 2017. Assuming good health, he'll have low-end WR3 upside in such a scenario.
