Redskins | Vernon Davis on track to play

Wed, 22 Nov 2017 18:25:18 -0800

Washington Redskins TE Vernon Davis (back) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22, and is not on the injury report for Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Davis has received a bigger role while Jordan Reed has been sidelined and has posted at least 65 yards in each of the last three games. He can be a solid No. 1 tight end in all fantasy leagues.

Redskins | Ryan Grant questionable for Week 12

Wed, 22 Nov 2017 18:21:51 -0800

Washington Redskins WR Ryan Grant (calf) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 22, and is listed as questionable for Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Grant has caught three passes in each of his last three games and recorded his first touchdown in Week 11. He likely will have a bigger role with Terrelle Pryor out but probably can be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

Redskins | Samaje Perine's status in question

Wed, 22 Nov 2017 18:03:42 -0800

Washington Redskins RB Samaje Perine (finger) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 22, and is listed as questionable for Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Perine should be able to play against the New York Giants, but owners will need to check the inactive list to make sure. Perine should receive most of the touches at running back because the injuries the team has at the position and should be considered a No. 2 running back or a flex option in standard leagues.

Wed, 22 Nov 2017 12:06:32 -0800

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (hamstring), DL Terrell McClain (toe), S Montae Nicholson (concussion) and C Chase Roullier (hand) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 12 against the New York Giants. LB Ryan Anderson (knee), LB Zach Brown (Achilles'), WR Ryan Grant (calf), DT Matt Ioannidis (hand, thigh), DL Anthony Lanier (knee), OT Morgan Moses (eye, ankle), OT Ty Nsekhe (core), RB Samaje Perine (finger), OG Brandon Scherff (knee), LB Martrell Spaight (ankle) and OT Trent Williams (knee) were all limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 22, and are listed as questionable. TE Vernon Davis (back), CB Quinton Dunbar (illness) and WR Brian Quick (concussion) practiced in full Wednesday and no longer appear on the injury report.

Redskins | Jordan Reed ruled out Week 12

Wed, 22 Nov 2017 10:41:50 -0800

Updating a previous report, Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (hamstring) will not play in the team's Week 12 Thanksgiving night game against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Tip: For some reason, head coach Jay Gruden labeled Reed a game-time decision about an hour ago, but the team has since corrected the injury report. A strong case can be made for making Vernon Davis a top-five play at tight end this week, as the Giants have coughed up the most PPR fantasy points to tight ends and have surrendered a league-high 10 touchdowns to the position.

Redskins | Jordan Reed could be game-time decision

Wed, 22 Nov 2017 10:33:31 -0800

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (hamstring) has been listed as questionable for Week 12 and could be one of "seven or eight game-time decisions" for the team's Thanksgiving night game against the New York Giants, according to head coach Jay Gruden.

Fantasy Tip: Reed didn't practice Monday or Tuesday and hasn't played since Week 8, so it would seem foolish to throw him out there on a short week. Assuming that is the case, Vernon Davis is a very good TE1 play against a Giants defense that has been routinely shredded by tight ends.

Redskins | No practice for Jordan Reed

Tue, 21 Nov 2017 14:18:57 -0800

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (hamstring) was held out of practice Tuesday, Nov. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Vernon Davis has once again filled in splendidly for Reed. With the Redskins playing on a short week, don't be surprised to see Reed sit again. If that is the case, Davis can be started as a low-end TE1.

Redskins | Vernon Davis has full practice

Tue, 21 Nov 2017 14:16:01 -0800

Washington Redskins TE Vernon Davis (back) participated fully in practice Tuesday, Nov. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Davis will be one of Kirk Cousins' top targets as long as Jordan Reed is unable to play. He has seen 8.6 targets over his last three games and is capable of coming through for fantasy owners as a TE1.

Redskins | Samaje Perine limited

Tue, 21 Nov 2017 14:12:50 -0800

Washington Redskins RB Samaje Perine (finger) was limited in practice Tuesday, Nov. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Perine is the Redskins' workhorse running back going forward, with Byron Marshall spotting him on passing downs. Perine really showed up last week and established himself as Washington's go-to back thanks to injuries to fellow backfield mates. View Perine as an RB2 for the remainder of the season.

Redskins | Byron Marshall will assume passing role

Tue, 21 Nov 2017 12:17:50 -0800

Washington Redskins RB Byron Marshall is expected to take over RB Chris Thompson's third-down role in Washington's offense. Marshall was signed off the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad just last week, but he does have experience as a receiver.

Redskins | Chris Thompson lands on IR

Tue, 21 Nov 2017 09:48:18 -0800

Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson (leg) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Nov. 21.

Fantasy Tip: The Redskins have no obvious replacement for Thompson, which likely means they will be forced to rely more heavily on Samaje Perine in the running game. Jamison Crowder has emerged as Kirk Cousins' favorite target in recent weeks and could see even more looks as a result of Thompson's absence.
