Washington Redskins LB Brian Orakpo (finger) is expecting to play in Week 4 against the New York Giants Thursday, Sept. 25, with a hard cast on his left hand. He was wearing a splint on his middle finger after practice Tuesday, Sept. 23, and X-rays showed no break. Orakpo saw a hand specialist this week and was diagnosed with a torn ligament. "No break, just a torn ligament," Orakpo said. "I just have a little process, some rehab, and I have to keep it straight for the time being." He said the pain is manageable.

Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden did not rule out QB Kirk Cousins permanently replacing QB Robert Griffin III at quarterback. "Crazy things have happened in NFL," Gruden said. "I'm not going to discount anything"
Fantasy Tip: This will something to monitor as RG3 gets closer to being ready to go, even though it is probably a bit of a long shot at the moment that a permanent switch happens.

Fantasy Tip: It does not sounds like Reed will be back anytime soon. Niles Paul will continue to be the pass catching tight end, and should come at a reasonable price in FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: With Reed officially ruled out, Niles Paul will continue to be the pass catching tight end and has an affordable FantasyScore price of $6,400 (12.80% of cap).

Fantasy Tip: It does not look like the knee injury Morris suffered in Week 3 is very serious. Morris has played well so far this season and could be a starting option for owners on FantasyScore depending on his price.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson played with the injury in Week 3 and should be able to play again this week. It seemed he had good chemistry with Kirk Cousins and could be a good option for owners this week.

Fantasy Tip: Reed is not off to a good start in terms of his status for Week 4 by sitting out practice. Since it is a short week, Reed could miss another game so he can get some extended rest for his hamstring. Niles Paul would continue to be pass catching tight end if Reed does not play and could be a good lower-priced option for owners on FantasyScore.
