Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson forfeited a $500,000 workout bonus tied to the number of workout sessions he attended, but he has already missed too much time to collect the money. He had to show up for 90 percent of the offseason workouts, which began April 18. Despite his absence, the team is not a concern for the club. Several coaches and team officials have said Jackson knows the offense and is smart, lessening their concerns.
Fantasy Tip: Jackson posted 30 catches for 528 yards and four touchdowns, missing a large chunk of the season due to a hamstring injury. As long as he is in shape and healthy, he is a dangerous WR3/4 or flex fantasy option going forward.

Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins has been calling former NFL quarterbacks for advice on how to approach the offseason. "I've called a few starting quarterbacks around the league, a few of the retired guys who had great careers, and just asked them what worked for them in the offseason" Cousins said.
Fantasy Tip: While he doesn't have a proven history, Cousins showed enough potential last season to be viewed as a high-end QB2 entering 2016.

Fantasy Tip: Davis will back up Jordan Reed as long as Reed is healthy, which isn't necessarily a guarantee. His glory days have faded, though, and he won't have much fantasy value as long as he's a backup.

Washington Redskins RB Matt Jones ranked 45th among running backs last season in yards after contact (1.44). He did improve in that area later in the season, averaging 1.68 yards after contact in the second half of the season.
Fantasy Tip: Jones had glimpses of stardom in his rookie season, but he also left something to be desired, particularly in yards after contact and yards per carry (3.4). The starting job is his to lose, though, and he should be considered a low-end RB2 heading into 2016.

Washington Redskins rookie WR Josh Doctson can be a great weapon in the red zone for the Redskins, according to QB Kirk Cousins. "It's very natural for him to go up and catch [the contested pass]," Cousins said. "He can run well. He has got great size. Having a guy like Josh could also be a great weapon in the red zone."
Fantasy Tip: Doctson used his size and athleticism to his advantage in college. It remains to be seen if it will translate in the NFL. He'll likely have more value in standard leagues with his big-play ability. Consider Doctson a WR5 in such formats.

Washington Redskins WRs Jamison Crowder will come into his second season with more confidence and common sense, according to QB Kirk Cousins. Cousins said Crowder has a natural sense of how to get open, knows how to run different routes, has great natural hands and can break away after the catch.
Fantasy Tip: Crowder was impressive in his rookie season, finishing third on the Redskins in catches (59) and receiving yards (604). He may not have enough opportunities to make a huge fantasy impact, though, and should only be viewed as a WR5 at best in PPR leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Paul missed the entire 2015 season because an ankle and likely will be the primary backup to Jordan Reed. Paul probably will receive limited targets in 2016 and can be avoided in all leagues unless Reed suffers an injury.

Washington Redskins FS David Bruton worked with the first-team defense during organized team activities Wednesday, May 25. Head coach Jay Gruden said Bruton is currently the leading candidate to start next to S DeAngelo Hall in 2016.

Fantasy Tip: Washington can take things slow with Doctson since they are not doing much during practice at this point. He should be ready for training camp and is expected to have a solid role in the passing game. Doctson should be considered as a late-round option in most leagues and can be used as a flex option.

Fantasy Tip: Thompson may have to compete for a roster spot during training camp but probably will be used as a third-down back if he makes the team. Thompson could have some value in point-per-receptions but probably can be avoided in most leagues.

Washington Redskins CB Josh Norman said there are similarities between the Redskins' defense and his former team, the Carolina Panthers' defense. Norman added that Washington gives their cornerbacks a little more freedom on the outside compared to Carolina.
