Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III (ankle) could return in Week 11, according to head coach Jay Gruden. "I would think — I would guarantee Tampa, most likely, unless something happens between now and then," Gruden said Thursday, Oct. 23. "You've got a good bye week, you've got a couple weeks to make sure it's ready. Obviously Robert is a quick healer. He works extremely hard in the training room. So the process could be sped up a little bit depending on how he feels."
Fantasy Tip: While RGIII will have to shake off some rust whenever he does suit up, a Week 11 return would give him a favorable matchup with a struggling Tampa Bay team right out of the gate.

Fantasy Tip: Morris tweaked his ankle in Week 7, but it doesn't appear to be a serious injury, and he should play Monday night against the Dallas Cowboys. However, he's a sketchy option at FantasyScore for $6,100 (12.2% of cap) against Dallas' improved run defense. Morris also doesn't catch a lot of passes, which may make it tough for him to return value.

Fantasy Tip: Griffin has been making progress, but he's not ready to start in Week 8 against the Dallas Cowboys, and the team may not decide to bring him back as the starter until after their Week 10 bye. Griffin isn't even available to use at FantasyScore this weekend, and you should avoid Colt McCoy ($3,900).

Fantasy Tip: It's best to stay away from McCoy, who could only be a one-week starter until Robert Griffin III returns from injury.

Updating previous reports, Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III (ankle) is unlikely to be ready to play Monday, Oct. 27, against the Dallas Cowboys, according to head coach Jay Gruden. Gruden said that Griffin has looked great in practices the last two weeks, but cited the fact that he's rusty and hasn't had meaningful repetitions in six weeks as a factor. "First it starts with the doctors telling me he's full-go, as far as being able to take a hit and all that good stuff," Gruden said. "And then it's gonna be getting more reps, and then I've got to see him comfortable throwing the timing routes, the out routes on time with no hitch, and all the reads and all the progressions. He's going to have to get more and more reps."
Fantasy Tip: Colt McCoy is expected to start at quarterback for the 'Skins against Dallas as Washington eases Griffin back into the swing of things. Griffin should be owned in all leagues now, but it's probably not wise to start him at FantasyScore until after their Week 10 bye.

Updating a previous report, there is no chance Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III (ankle) plays in the Week 8 game against the Dallas Cowboys Monday, Oct. 27, multiple sources said Wednesday, Oct. 22.
Fantasy Tip: The Redskins have a bye in Week 10, and it's entirely possible we do not see RG3 until Week 11, giving him three more weeks to get back to 100 percent.

Washington Redskins LB Trent Murphy said he is still adjusting to life in the NFL. "A lot of things," he said. "But no hesitation and playing fast and disruptive. I knew how fast the game would be and that's where my improvement needs to be, always playing fast with no hesitation."

Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III's (ankle) status for Week 8 against the Dallas Cowboys will be determined by team doctors, according to head coach Jay Gruden. "It's up to the trainers and doctors right now, they gotta clear him, No. 1, like I said," Gruden added. "No. 2, he's got to feel good. But it's gonna be a process of how he feels tomorrow, how he feels the next day, and how he's throwing and how he's playing the position." Griffin took part in individual drills in practice Wednesday, Oct. 22, and took repetitions in the team portion. Gruden said Griffin looked good doing the drills.
Fantasy Tip: Griffin will likely be questionable for the game Monday night. Try to avoid using him at FantasyScore this weekend. Better options are out there.

Washington Redskins QBs Robert Griffin III (ankle) and Colt McCoy hopefully will find out the starting quarterback for Week 8 by Thursday, Oct. 23, according to head coach Jay Gruden. Gruden said Griffin will either start or be inactive for the game.
Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor this situation to see if Griffin has a chance to play. Griffin could be limited by the injury if he does play, so he may not be a great start for owners. McCoy costs $3,900 on FantasyScore but probably is not a great option to use if he receives the start.

Fantasy Tip: He's expected to miss Week 8, and he shouldn't be considered on FantasyScore for now.
