Redskins | Robert Griffin III praises Alfred Morris

Thu, 10 Jul 2014 11:07:41 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III thinks RB Alfred Morris is the biggest weapon on the team's offense. "I think everyone would lean towards DeSean or Pierre or Jordan Reed," Griffin III said when asked who the biggest weapon in the Redskins' offense is. "I think it's Alfred. With him, defenses have to make a decision whether to puts guys in the box to stop him or leave the box light and allow Alfred to go between the tackles and lure in the safeties. I think it will be interesting to see what defenses do against him."

Fantasy Tip: There is every reason to believe that Morris will benefit from the addition of DeSean Jackson to the offense and a healthy Robert Griffin III. Morris should return to top form in 2014.

"It's been a blur almost, but it's definitely been fun and a roller coaster ride." "First year, we had some ups. Last year, we had some down times, but overall it's been fun, and I'm excited about this upcoming year about what we have accomplished, I'm so excited about the future for us."

Redskins | Ryan Kerrigan aiming higher

Wed, 09 Jul 2014 18:44:40 -0700

Washington Redskins LB Ryan Kerrigan saw his sack total remain the same from 2012 to 2013, his forced fumbles and tackle totals increase, but his pass breakups dipped. Still, he has been very consistent. However, he is aiming higher in 2014. "I'm tired of being consistent," Kerrigan said. "I want to be consistently really, really good. I don't want to be just consistently average anymore. I want to be consistently good."

Fantasy Tip: Kerrigan is still very young and has emerged as a serviceable fantasy option in deeper individual defensive player (IDP) formats.

Redskins | Robert Griffin III to work with Terry Shea

Mon, 07 Jul 2014 07:45:34 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III will work with quarterbacks coach Terry Shea next week to tune up before training camp. Griffin worked with Shea earlier in the offseason. Shea focused hard on Griffin's fundamentals, including narrowing his base, getting his feet to turn with his body in the pocket and raising where Griffin held the ball - at times last year he held it too low, leading to a wind-up throw.

Fantasy Tip: Griffin appears to be working hard this offseason to have a bounce-back season.

Redskins | Robert Griffin III back in 2012 form

Sat, 05 Jul 2014 19:11:19 -0700

Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III looks more explosive this season, according to offensive coordinator Sean McVay. McVay also said he expects Griffin to return to his 2012 form now that he is playing without a knee brace. "I don't think there's any question: he looks explosive," McVay said. "He looks like he is exactly what he was in the 2012 season. I think people underestimate when you have a brace on your knee how much that truly restricts you... So I think being able to take that off, he looks extremely explosive."
