 Titans | Fisher not concerned about Britt's off field incidents Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher said he is not concerned about two off-field incidents WR Kenny Britt has been involved in this offseason. "I think it's something he learned from and will get it behind him. And he'll come back and join the offseason program and we'll try to educate him on some things. I don't think he realized the implications of his willingness to help, not that that would have changed things," Fisher said. Britt has been arrested for outstanding warrants and posted bail for a friend that has been convicted twice and has three outstanding indictments. Titans | Johnson said Fisher made his milestone a priority Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson said head coach Jeff Fisher told the team before their Week 17 game that getting Johnson to 2,000 yards rushing for the season was more important than winning the game because they had no chance at the playoffs. "I don't know if he wants me to say this, but the whole game plan was for me to get 2,000 yards. He had a meeting with the whole team and said, 'we don't have a chance to make the playoffs, so us winning the game really don't matter. If it causes us to lose this game to get to 2,000 yards we will do that.' … So I give a lot of credit to Jeff Fisher," Johnson said. Titans | Will likely ask Collins to take a paycut Terry McCormick, of The City Paper, reports the Tennessee Titans will likely approach QB Kerry Collins fairly early in the offseason about potentially restructuring his contract in order for him to remain with the team. Collins is under contract for 2010 on the final year of the two-year, $15 million deal he signed last offseason. However, he signed that deal when he was the team's starting quarterback. Now that QB Vince Young is back as the starting quarterback, even Collins has wondered whether the team would be willing to pay him the $5.5 to $6 million he is owed, if he's not the starter. Titans | C. Johnson feels he should be highest paid RB Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson believes he should be the highest paid running back. Johnson said, "Hopefully they'll want to give me a new deal. I think I deserve to be the highest paid running back in the league, or even the highest paid offensive player besides the quarterback." Johnson added, "But it's not like I am not going out in the media saying, 'Pay me, I want a new deal now.' I am just saying, if they were to pay me, I want that. Hopefully they want that, too." Johnson is scheduled to make $560,000 in 2010 and $800,000 in 2011. He is currently scheduled to make $2.21 million in 2010, but that could increase to $2.5 million because of the escalators he reached while rushing for 2,006 yards last season. Titans | Mawae not worried about free agency Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans C Kevin Mawae, who is an impending free agent, said he has not talked to the Titans about a new contract but is not worried about what happens during the offseason. "I am not going to sit here and worry about it; it's business," Mawae said. "… At the end of the day they are going to sign who they want to sign and they are going to make a run at the guys they want to keep. … But I haven't talked to them and I don't know what they are thinking. I certainly hope to be back in Tennessee." Titans | Vanden Bosch believes he can fit many defenses Ian Rapoport, of the Boston Herald, reports Tennessee Titans DE Kyle Vanden Bosch, who is an impending free agent, said he believes he could fit well in many of the defenses in the NFL. The race would be used to raise money for charity. According to sources, the one hangup seems to be the length of the race.
