Rodney Childers (No. 00), Frank Kerr (No. 47) and Chad Johnston (No. 56) were each fined $50,000 and have been suspended for the next four races.

NASCAR confiscated three front windshields from two Michael Waltrip Racing cars and one affiliated with the team Friday, Oct. 21, at Talladega Superspeedway. The windshields were taken from drivers David Reutimann and Martin Truex Jr. and one from JTG Daugherty Racing driver Bobby Labonte. They were taken because they had unapproved modifications.

Michael Waltrip Racing driver Martin Truex Jr. fired his pit crew after they messed up his final stop at Richmond International Raceway last weekend. "We had a very good car at Richmond. It was the best car I've ever had there," Truex said. "We've run well and have very little to show for it. But in Richmond, it was hard not to say anything when our night ended the way it did."

The team will employ new tire carriers and tire changers for the front and rear end of Truex's No. 56 Toyota.
