Fantasy Tip: Barth should be able to win the kicker job and is joining a team with a solid offense, but owners should be able to find better kicker options for their team.

Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie QB Jameis Winston (ankle) suffered a sprained ankle Monday, Aug. 24, against the Cincinnati Bengals. Head coach Lovie Smith still expects him to start Week 3 of the preseason against the Cleveland Browns.
Fantasy Tip: Winston has looked pretty good so far this preseason. If he can stay on the field, he may be in for a better than decent rookie campaign. He still shouldn't be drafted as a starting fantasy quarterback, however.

Fantasy Tip: Evans needs as much rest as he can get for the injury with the regular season nearing. He's an invaluable part of their offense, so it's not worth risking an aggravation. It remains to be seen how involved he'll be in practices the next few weeks. His status will need to be monitored, but he's still in low-end WR1 to high-end WR2 territory.

Fantasy Tip: Winston is nothing more than a weak backup fantasy quarterback this year who will likely have plenty of ups and downs in his rookie season behind a suspect offensive line.

Updating a previous report, Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) isn't believed to have a serious hamstring injury. "I talked to him and he didn't feel like it was that serious," head coach Lovie Smith said. "We wanted to get our (starters) into the second quarter and then get them out."
Fantasy Tip: Evans has solid WR2 value in fantasy, and this is something to watch through the last half of training camp.

Fantasy Tip: The ailment doesn't appear serious and shouldn't hold him out for long, if at all. Winston is progressing into the upper level of the QB2 conversation.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston completed eight of his 13 pass attempts for 90 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in the preseason game Monday, Aug. 24, against the Cincinnati Bengals. He also ran once for a touchdown.
Fantasy Tip: Winston has two rushing touchdowns in two preseason games. He might not quite be ready for a fantasy season similar to Cam Newton's rookie year, but the rushing touchdowns have been surprising. Still, peg Winston as a QB2 or Top 25 option at his position with plenty of upside.

Fantasy Tip: Martin ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) appears to be the closer to his 2012 version than the past two injury-marred seasons. His explosiveness and speed is back, and he could be a great middle-round value in standard fantasy leagues as a low-end RB2 or flex fantasy play.

Fantasy Tip: The team has another game in five nights, so it could be just a precaution. Obviously if this an injury of a more serious nature we'll keep you updated. And, Vincent Jackson would see a spike in pre-draft value in FantasyScore and standard leagues heading into the regular season.

Fantasy Tip: Despite the encouraging signs in practice, Winston should be viewed as a low-end QB2 in his rookie year.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins has dropped way too many passes during training camp and could give way to TE Brandon Myers as the starter, according to NFL Nation reporter Pat Yasinkas.
Fantasy Tip: Historically, tight ends have struggled to return significant fantasy production early in their careers, and Seferian-Jenkins missed eight games in his rookie year. Pair his inexperience with more than one negative review of his hands, and the sophomore looks like a risky option to pin your fantasy hopes on. Still, he has high-end athleticism, and Myers isn't a legitimate threat in that regard. All said, Seferian-Jenkins looks more like an occasional streaming option and FantasyScore play than a weekly holder of a starting tight end roster slot.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Lovie Smith will take over defensive play-calling duties from defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier this season. The Bucs finished 25th in overall defense in 2014 and gave up 25.6 points per game, which was eighth most in the league. Frazier will remain the defensive coordinator.

Fantasy Tip: Lansanah was a solid fantasy option in leagues which use individual defensive players (IDPs) in 2014. If he can hold off Carter in the preseason, he will once again be a serviceable option at LB in 2015.
