Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Vincent Jackson's name came up over the weekend in reports that the team was fielding phone calls from interested teams, but head coach Lovie Smith said Monday, Oct. 20, that the team isn't interested in trading their star receiver.
Fantasy Tip: The Bucs could still wind up trading Jackson if they receive an offer too good to pass up. If Jackson is dealt, Mike Evans would gain serious fantasy football value. Louis Murphy, who has developed excellent chemistry with Mike Glennon, would receive a boost in value, too.

Fantasy Tip: It is unclear whether Jackson is still nursing a rib injury that limited him before the team's bye week, but he should be able to go for Week 8 as long as there hasn't been any aggravation or new injury.

Fantasy Tip: Mike Glennon is still expected to start, for now, but neither are worth starting in fantasy lineups at this point.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson is currently the Buccaneers' No. 1 wide receiver but could be moved if the price was right. Jackson's value could increase or decrease depending on which team would acquire him.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Charles Sims (ankle) could return to practice soon and is eligible to return after the team's game against the Cleveland Browns Sunday, Nov. 2. Sims underwent ankle surgery this offseason and is on the Reserve/Injured list with a designation to return.
Fantasy Tip: Tampa Bay running backs haven't necessarily been productive this year, so Sims might be given a chance sooner rather than later. It would be best to see how he will be used when he does return before plugging him in lineups.

Updating a previous item, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fired director of player development Isaiah Harris following his DUI arrest. According to a team statement from general manager Jason Licht: "This type of incident, particularly for someone whose primary responsibilities are to mentor and develop our players off the field, cannot be tolerated. Due to the nature of his position and the expectations placed on our staff, we made the organizational decision to part ways with Isaiah."
