Rick Stroud, of the St. Petersburg Times, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt said he is looking for QB Josh Freeman to improve on his accuracy and leadership skills for next season. The Buccaneers' goal for Freeman is to complete 65 percent of his passes in 2010. Van Pelt feels Freeman needs to display more leadership. "He needs to be the first guy in the building. It's the leadership aspect we need from him," Van Pelt said. "He needs to be more vocal with teammates in and out of the huddle."

"Alex gives me another set of eyes -- and that's big with a young group. At this time in his career, Josh has to have someone coaching him on every single snap. As a coordinator, I wasn't always able to do that. Alex played a long time in this league as a backup quarterback," Olsen said.

Dominik said, "We're going to look in free agency. But as I studied, I'm a firm believer we're going to build this thing from the draft. People can say, "Hey, could they spend a lot of money in free agency?' I don't think we're going to be big players in free agency because I really believe you build through the draft." Dominik feels the team has a solid core of experienced players to build upon.

Rick Stroud, of the St. Petersburg Times, reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to improve QB Josh Freeman's accuracy this offseason. Offensive coordinator Greg Olson believes Freeman will benefit from an offseason, training camp and preseason of working on fundamentals and timing with his receivers. Olson said the goal will be to help Freeman complete at least 60 percent of his passes next season. Olson is planning to tailor the team's offensive scheme next season toward Freeman's strengths. Olson added, "We've sat down, we've been having conversations throughout the season about what changes are going to be made. We've continued to have those talks since the season ended. Some of the terminology is going to change and he's very comfortable with what direction we're going and he'll be involved in it when he comes back here and we start putting this thing together."

Storer suffered a torn ACL in 2008 that not only cost him the rest of the 2008 season, but all of the 2009 season as well. Storer spent most of 2009 helping special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia. Storer said he was just looking to help the team but its possible his efforts could turn into a coaching job, possibly as an offensive or special teams assistant.

New Tennessee head coach Derek Dooley has contacted Barry twice since getting hired Jan. 16. Barry said, "Of course, I'm very interested. Yes, it's college football. But you're talking about the chance to be a defensive coordinator at a big-time program like Tennessee in the Southeastern Conference. It would be a good opportunity. We'll see what happens."

Assistant state attorney Richard Ripplinger said the office is reviewing the application, and should know within a few weeks if Talib has been accepted into the program. Ripplinger said Talib is the type of offender who is eligible for the program. Talib was arrested Aug. 19, after the Florida Highway Patrol said he hit a cab driver in the neck and ear with a closed fist.

Phillips was accused of choking his wife after she questioned him about another woman. Judge Walter Heinrich ordered Phillips to not have any contact with his wife, Adrianne. He faces up to five years in prison if convicted, according to Heinrich.
