Joe Gibbs Racing driver Kyle Busch and Richard Childress Racing driver Kevin Harvick were involved in a post-race altercation at the Showtime Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway Saturday, May 7. Busch and Harvick got tangled up on the track during the race. After the race, Harvick stopped his car, got out and attempted to take a swipe at Busch. The No. 18 pulled away, sending Harvick's driverless car into the Pit Road wall.

Kevin Harvick Inc. signed a two-year extension with driver Elliott Sadler in the Nationwide Series, according to ESPN.com's Terry Blount. Sadler's contract with Richard Petty Motorsports was not renewed for the 2012 season. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Associated Press reports driver Kevin Harvick won the Nationwide Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway Saturday, March 21. He led 44 laps. It was Harvick's first victory driving a car that he owns.

Harvick's four victories at TMS all came with Richard Childress Racing and KHI has three wins to its credit but none with Harvick behind the wheel. Harvick has three top-five and four top-10 finishes in the NASCAR Nationwide Series but has yet to find victory lane in the No. 33 Chevrolet.

Rea White, of SceneDaily.com, reports Kevin Harvick Inc. officials announced Wednesday, Feb. 13, that Rheem Manufacturing Co., will be a primary sponsor for the team's No. 77 car in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Cale Gale is scheduled to drive the car in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway Saturday, Feb. 16 and at Atlanta Motor Speedway March 8. Team owner and driver Kevin Harvick will drive the car at Richmond International Raceway May 2 and Lowe's Motor Speedway Oct. 10. Rheem will also be an associate sponsor for the team's No. 33 Nationwide Series car and the No. 33 Craftsman Truck Series truck. The No. 77 car is scheduled to run in seven races, according to Harvick. Financial terms of the sponsorship were not disclosed.
