Crew chief Tony Eury Jr. will serve as the crew chief for JR Motorsports driver Danica Patrick in the Nationwide Series next year but not in her limited work in the Sprint Cup series with Stewart-Haas Racing. It is unknown who will serve as Patrick's crew chief for her 10 Cup races next year.

JR Motorsports driver Danica Patrick is scheduled to run in 12 Nationwide Series races this year, according to ESPN.com. She will also compete full time in the IndyCar Series. Patrick will compete in the first four Nationwide races at Daytona (Feb. 19), Phoenix (Feb. 26), Las Vegas (March 5) and Bristol (March 19).

The rest of her 2011 scheduled is undetermined, but the team hopes to have her in up to 14 races. Patrick is committed to racing at Daytona, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Bristol.

JR Motorsports announced Thursday, July 15, that they will not be making the move to the Sprint Cup Series for the 2011 season, according to SceneDaily.com's Bob Pockrass. "No Cup plans," team co-owner Kelley Earnhardt said. "No Kasey Kahne. No Mark Martin. Nothing for JR Motorsports. At this point, we would need to get started on that, and it's definitely not in our future for 2011."

JR | Eury named crew chief in Nationwide Series

David Newton, of ESPN.com, reports JR Motorsports has named Tony Eury Jr. the crew chief for JR Motorsports driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the Nationwide Series. Eury was Earnhardt's former crew chief with Hendrick Motorsports in the Sprint Cup Series earlier this year. Eury will be replacing crew chief Brian Campe, who mutually agreed to be released from his contract. The first race with Eury as the new crew chief will be Saturday, Oct. 24, at Memphis Motorsports Park with Richard Boswell as the driver.

SceneDaily.com reports NASCAR announced Wednesday, July 2, that JR Motorsports crew chief Chad Walter was fined $10,000 for using improper language on television during the Camping World 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He is on probation until Dec. 31. Team owner Rick Hendrick was penalized 25 Nationwide Series owner points and driver Landon Cassill was penalized 25 driver points.
