Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor Mason's practice participation over the next few weeks to see if he has a chance to play Week 1. Mason is expected to receive most of the carries early in the season and could be a middle- to last-round option in leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Gurley will not take part in any of the preseason games, but the fact he is back now bodes well for his status for Week 1 and beyond. Look for his touches to be rather limited early in the season, but to grow significantly as he becomes healthier and more familiar with the offense.

Fantasy Tip: Quick has been the Rams' most impressive wide receiver this offseason. He and Kenny Britt could make for an underrated receiving duo if they and Nick Foles can stay healthy. For now, consider Quick a speculative WR4 or WR5.

St. Louis Rams WR Brian Quick (shoulder) has been cleared to practice with contact this week, and he might even be able to play in the team's next preseason game Saturday, Aug. 29, against the Indianapolis Colts.
Fantasy Tip: Quick is expected to start opposite Kenny Britt, but he needs to show he can stay healthy and finish the preseason strong to warrant anything more than a late-round flier on draft day.

Fantasy Tip: Gurley likely will need a few weeks of practice before he is allowed to play in a game. He probably will see limited work early in the season and have his workload increase as the season goes on. Gurley could be a middle-round option that could be a solid contributor later in the season.

Fantasy Tip: The team likely will take things slow with Gurley since he has not played in a while. He probably will see limited snaps during the early part of the season but could see more time as the season goes on. Gurley could be a middle-round option in drafts since he comes with some risk but could be a solid producer if healthy.

Fantasy Tip: It would be smart of the Rams to ease Gurley in, especially since they already have Tre Mason. A torn ACL isn't something to rush back from. Gurley will start once he's healthy enough to do so. He could still finish in RB2 territory be season's end.
Tue, 18 Aug 2015 18:09:19 -0700
Fantasy Tip: It is very unlikely Gurley will be ready for the beginning of the season at this point, and owners in redraft leagues should be favoring Tre Mason over Gurley.

St. Louis Rams RB Todd Gurley (knee) is expected to miss a few regular season games, because the team will not use him until he is 100% healthy. Gurley's anterior cruciate ligament is stable, but the area around the ligament is not strong enough.
Fantasy Tip: Owners should continue to monitor the situation to have a better timetable for his return. Gurley could be a middle- to late-round option in leagues since he probably will see a majority of the carries once he is able to play.

St. Louis Rams QB Nick Foles is comfortable with his new team in part because they are running a west coast offense, which he has used in the past. He is showing good chemistry with his new teammates.
Fantasy Tip: Foles appears to be doing well with his new team and will have some weapons to work with on offense, but owners should see how he performs during the preseason. Owners could consider Foles as a No. 2 quarterback in deeper leagues.

Updating a previous report, St. Louis Rams QB Nick Foles is scheduled to make $6 million in 2015 and $7.75 million in 2016, which is fully guaranteed. Foles can void the 2017 part of his contract if he and the team hit certain incentives. He is scheduled to make $10.75 million in 2017 with a $1.5 million signing bonus but none if it is guaranteed. He could also make an additional $4.5 million per season if he reaches certain incentives.
