Fantasy Tip: This should have been expected. The big thing for Gurley is that he avoided the PUP list before training camp started. It may take a while for Gurley to be fully acclimated to the NFL, so handcuffing Tre Mason with Gurley in your drafts may be a wise move. Assuming Gurley ends up being the starter at running back, he could end up as a RB2.

Fantasy Tip: Gurley could initially be part of a committee at running back for the first few weeks but should receive a majority of the carries as the season goes on. If he is able to stay healthy, Gurley could be a middle-round option in most leagues this season.

Fantasy Tip: Gurley seems to be recovering well from his torn anterior cruciate ligament. And it sounds like he passed the conditioning test with flying colors. He could be ahead of schedule at this point, but the Rams might limit him during training camp just to be safe. Assuming he's at full health by the time the regular season begins, he's expected to be the Rams' starting running back.

Fantasy Tip: The key question here is how long will it take Gurley to get healthy enough to be a starting NFL running back? Only time will tell, but if might be a safe decision to draft Mason in a later round if you take Gurley in an earlier round. Neither should be viewed as more than a RB2.

Fantasy Tip: Gurley's draft stock doesn't change. He's a boom-or-bust RB3 that you should look for in the early middle rounds.

St. Louis Rams CB Janoris Jenkins could end up receiving a long-term deal over fellow CB Trumaine Johnson. Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com said the Rams would probably rather get a deal done with Jenkins right now as they are unlikely to sign both to a long-term deal.

St. Louis Rams LB Akeem Ayers and Jo-Lonn Dunbar will compete for the starting strongside linebacker job during training camp. Ayers is expected to be the leading candidate for the job because of his ability to rush the passer and play all three downs.
