Seahawks | C.J. Prosise to return in Week 4

Mon, 26 Sep 2016 19:06:38 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (wrist) will return to action in Week 4 against the New York Jets, head coach Pete Carroll said Monday, Sept. 26. He has missed the past two games due to a cracked bone in his hand.

Fantasy Tip: With Thomas Rawls on the mend and expected to miss several weeks, Prosise is not a bad stash option in deeper standard fantasy leagues and PPR formats, as he is the primary option behind Christine Michael.

Seahawks | Thomas Rawls out indefinitely

Mon, 26 Sep 2016 10:18:57 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls (leg) is expected to miss a few weeks with a hairline fracture in his fibula. Rawls missed the team's Week 3 victory over the San Francisco 49ers and could be out for a month, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy Tip: Christine Michael erupted for 106 yards and two touchdowns on the ground Sunday. If Rawls is sidelined for a month as is being reported, Michael may very well have the feature-back role in Seattle locked up by the time he is able to return. With Russell Wilson also operating at far less than 100 percent, Michael may very well need to carry the offense for the foreseeable future. Consider him a low-end RB1 for now.

Seahawks | Russell Wilson diagnosed with MCL sprain

Mon, 26 Sep 2016 09:53:40 -0700

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson (knee, ankle) was diagnosed with a sprain to the medial collateral ligament in his left knee suffered during the team's Week 3 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Head coach Pete Carroll stated Wilson "feel great" and is recovering well.

Fantasy Tip: Considering he has a high ankle sprain on his right leg, Wilson unlikely "feels great", but Carroll remains optimistic his quarterback will be ready to go in Week 4 versus the New York Jets. The fifth-year quarterback has understandably rushed for only 33 yards this season and can't be expected to be a top-level fantasy option when his mobility is compromised. Owners should seek other options at least for this week.

Seahawks | Sprained MCL for Russell Wilson?

Sun, 25 Sep 2016 17:01:40 -0700

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson (knee) is believed to have a sprained medial collateral ligament in his knee. That is the initial belief after the Week 3 game against the San Francisco 49ers. He will undergo further testing.

Fantasy Tip: It sounds like Wilson's injury is a bit more serious and he might be looking at some time off. If so, that's good news for the likes of Thomas Rawls and Christine Michael, who might be asked to shoulder more of the load on offense. It's not great news for Doug Baldwin and the receivers, who would have rookie Trevone Boykin throwing to them.

Seahawks | Russell Wilson nursing knee injury

Sun, 25 Sep 2016 15:17:13 -0700

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson (ankle, knee) suffered a knee injury in the Week 3 game against the San Francisco 49ers, he did not aggravate his ankle injury. Rookie QB Trevone Boykin replaced him and will finish up the game, according to the team.

Fantasy Tip: It's been a difficult season for Wilson and his fantasy owners so far. He will not return to the game with a giant lead late in the third quarter, and it wouldn't be surprising to see Wilson sit again in Week 4 if he doesn't make tremendous improvement throughout the week.

Seahawks | Russell Wilson getting treatment

Sun, 25 Sep 2016 15:16:41 -0700

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson (ankle) left the Week 3 game against the San Francisco 49ers and he is receiving treatment on the sidelines, likely for the ankle injury he has been dealing with the past two weeks. Rookie QB Trevone Boykin replaced him.

Fantasy Tip: With the game out of hand it is likely we won't see Wilson again for the remainder of the day. Fantasy should be worried about this ongoing situation, as Wilson doesn't seem to be getting healthier and might be forced to miss a game or two to rest his injury.

Seahawks | Thomas Rawls officially out

Sun, 25 Sep 2016 12:51:45 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls (shin) has been declared inactive for the team's Week 3 game.

Fantasy Tip: Christine Michael will receive most of the work at running back and should be an attractive flex option for owners.

Seahawks | C.J. Prosise expected to sit

Sun, 25 Sep 2016 09:16:09 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (wrist) is expected to be inactive for the team's Week 3 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Tip: Christine Michael will see a lot of playing time against the 49ers this week and should be a fine flex option in most leagues and could even be a low-end No. 2 in deeper leagues.

Seahawks | Thomas Rawls will not play

Sun, 25 Sep 2016 09:12:55 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls (shin) will be inactive for the team's Week 3 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Tip: Christine Michael will receive most of the work at running back and should see a significant amount of carries during the game. Michael has posted decent numbers so far this season and should be an attractive flex option for owners.

Seahawks | C.J. Prosise expected to play Sunday

Sat, 24 Sep 2016 23:17:34 -0700

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (wrist) will play in Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Fantasy Tip: With Thomas Rawls likely out, Prosise is set to be the primary backup to Christine Michael. Carroll has indicated Michael will carry a larger load this Sunday, however, which makes Prosise an unlikely contributor for fantasy purposes.
