Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls (ankle) was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list Saturday, July 30. Head coach Pete Carroll, who told reporters Rawls is in "great shape" and "has not had any setbacks", also said he will reevaluate his second-year player's status in four-day segments.
Fantasy Tip: Jimmy Graham joined Rawls on PUP on Saturday, and it appears both players will be monitored similarly. Rawls will be atop the depth chart when he is cleared, but it appears he'll enter the season as a two-down back since rookie C.J. Prosise has been handpicked to be the primary third-down back. The 2015 undrafted rookie free agent will have to start out strong if hopes to hold off Prosise and fifth-rounder Alex Collins. At the moment, Rawls should be considered a high-risk, high-upside RB2.

Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham (knee) was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list Saturday, July 30. Head coach Pete Carroll said the Seahawks will assess Graham in four-day segments, adding that he is still in great shape and has not had any setbacks.
Fantasy Tip: Graham should be good to go for the start of the regular season as long as he continues not to suffer any setbacks. His TE1 days could be over, though, and he should be drafted in the low-end TE1 to high-end TE2 range.

Fantasy Tip: Graham is expected to be ready for the regular season, and although he is a high-risk, high-reward pick, he is worth the gamble if you can grab him in the later rounds.

Fantasy Tip: Although Rawls was expected to be ready for camp, it still sounds like he is on track to be ready when the regular season rolls around. He should make a solid RB2 in 2016.

Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls (ankle) and TE Jimmy Graham (knee) will not practice when training camp begins Saturday, July 30. Both players will be brought along slowly and could begin camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list. They are still both on track to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, however, according to general manager John Schneider.
Fantasy Tip: Rawls and Graham will be two of the most important storylines for the Seahawks heading into training camp, the preseason and beyond. Although, if they're good to go when the regular season starts, they should still be drafted as a low-end RB1 to high-end RB2 and low-end TE1 to high-end TE2, respectively.

Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider agreed to a contract extension Sunday, July 24, on a five-year deal to make him one of the highest-paid general managers in the league. The deal is expected to approach $3.75 million per season.

Seattle Seahawks DE Michael Bennett is unhappy with his contract, saying he wants "to be fairly compensated with the top guys in the league," and believing that he's "definitely one of the top five defensive ends." He added: "I'm just to the point where it's kind of like, if you don't think I'm valuable, then just get rid of me." Bennett is set to make $5.5 million this year and $7 million next year.
Fantasy Tip: He's got a point, as those financial numbers easily pale in comparison to what the upper echelon players at his position are currently making. At the same time, Seattle does have a strict policy in place about negotiating contracts with players who have two or more years remaining on their deal. More likely than not, though, the Seahawks will probably end up taking care of the stud 30-year-old when the time comes. It shouldn't affect his performance this season.

Seattle Seahawks DE Michael Bennett (ankle) made it clear he wants a new deal, and he did not participate in organized team activities (OTAs) as a result of his unhappiness. He did show for mandatory minicamp, but he sat out with an ankle injury. If his deal is not redone before the season, it will be interesting to see how it affects Bennett into the regular season.

Seattle Seahawks OG Justin Britt has been lining up at center during offseason workouts, but he'll have to hold off C Patrick Lewis for the starting job in training camp and the preseason. If he cannot hang on to the job, he might be looking at a backup role for the first time in his career.
