Seattle Seahawks LB O'Brien Schofield drew praise from head coach Pete Carroll for his performance in the team's second preseason game. "He was all over the place," Carroll said. Seattle Seahawks DE Cassius Marsh (knee) returned to practice Thursday, Aug. 14, after injuring his knee during practice Wednesday, Aug. 13. His MRI exam showed a mild sprain. "It must have been a laying of hands," head coach Pete Carroll said. "He got out there today and did awesome. If he's OK (Friday) he has a chance to play. We're very happy about that. And the laying of hands reference is just in jest." Marsh has been very impressive in training camp and is expected to be part of a rotation on the defensive line this year, especially in passing situations.

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch has been cleared of any involvement in an assault and property damage accusation, the Washington police department said Wednesday, Aug. 13. "The Bellevue Police Department has determined that Marshawn Lynch was not involved in this incident in any way," the department said in a statement. "The case remains an open and active investigation. We appreciate the cooperation we have received from Mr. Lynch and the Seahawks organization during this investigation."
Fantasy Tip: It's been a busy off-the-field preseason for Lynch. Fortunately for him and the Seahawks, though, this latest issue is nothing to worry about. Although there's a decent chance Lynch will be spelled more often in the backfield this year, he still remains one of the safer RB1 options.

"We have a lot more to learn about Terrelle, but he's a fantastic athlete and he competes so hard to try to win this job."
