San Francisco 49ers OT Anthony Davis, who announced his retirement but hasn't filed official paperwork with the league, posted on his official Twitter account Wednesday, April 27, that he does not "want to work with a front office or anyone else who seemingly doesn't want to win as bad as I do."

San Francisco 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said "there's been no talk internally" about trading for Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford. Bradford's agent, Tom Condon, has confirmed that Bradford has requested to be traded. Bradford's former coach, Chip Kelly, is the new 49ers coach.
Fantasy Tip: Bradford has already made it known he has no interest in playing for Kelly again, so a trade to San Fran appears highly unlikely. With Philly trading up to the No. 2 overall spot to likely take a quarterback, Bradford is essentially a lame-duck QB in 2016. Even if, say the Denver Broncos traded for him, Bradford would be more in the range of QB2 territory.

Fantasy Tip: Kap should be healed in plenty of time for training camp this fall. Which team he's playing on by then is the bigger question, as the Niners haven't ruled out trading him during the draft, which begins tomorrow. The Denver Broncos are the most likely to trade for him, and it'd be the best news for his fantasy value, but he should only be considered a QB2 with upside for more in that scenario.

Fantasy Tip: The Denver Broncos would give Kaepernick the most fantasy upside, but he'll be a QB2 wherever he resides.

Fantasy Tip: The 49ers are one of the few remaining teams with an iffy quarterback situation. Colin Kaepernick could still stay with the 49ers, but it's not a guarantee. For now, none of Bradford, Kaepernick and Blaine Gabbert should be in the QB1 discussion, although Kaepernick and Bradford are high-end backup options.

The San Francisco 49ers coaching staff will get its first good look at WR Eric Rogers this week. He was signed January after posting 87 receptions, 1,448 yards and 10 touchdowns in 17 games for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League.
Fantasy Tip: It remains to be seen what kind of role Rogers has with the 49ers, but if he performs like he did in the CFL he could be quite the surprise.

Fantasy Tip: Right now, Torrey Smith is the No. 1 wide receiver in San Francisco, with Quinton Patton likely the No. 2 behind him. San Francisco is undoubtedly in need of depth at the position, though, and Boldin still has gas in the tank. If the wide receiver corps stays as is, then Smith is WR3 option while Patton provides sleeper potential.

Fantasy Tip: Dixon likely would not be the starter if he joins the 49ers but could he a decent role on offense. Dixon could be an option in deeper leagues and keeper leagues if he receive enough touches.

San Francisco 49ers DT Ian Williams (ankle) had offseason ankle surgery, and general manager Trent Baalke said Wednesday, April 20, that he did not have a timeline on when Williams would be ready to play. "Still underdetermined," Baalke said. "But he's making very good progress."

San Francisco 49ers DT Glenn Dorsey (knee) is making "great progress," according to general manager Trent Baalke, as the defensive tackle makes his way back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament. However, it is too soon to say if he'll be ready for the regular season opener. "I'm never going to give a definitive because you don't know," Baalke said. "You could always have a setback, but right now he's made great progress. Looks good."
