Free-agent WR Brandon Lloyd (49ers) has had no conversations with his former team about a new contract.
Fantasy Tip: Lloyd and fellow wideout Michael Crabtree are in limbo following a dramatic roster overhaul. Lloyd will likely head elsewhere if the 49ers have had no talks with him. He projects as a WR3 or lower and is a likely late-round selection.

San Francisco 49ers RB Reggie Bush still has the ability to be an every-down back, according to head coach Jim Tomsula. Tomsula said Bush is not a gadget player but does have the skill set to help on third downs.
Fantasy Tip: Carlos Hyde is expected to enter training camp as the leading candidate for the starting job, but Bush should have a solid role in the offense. Bush likely will have more value in point-per-reception leagues but could be a middle- to late-round pick in most leagues.

Free-agent WR Michael Crabtree (49ers) is having a hard time being signed this offseason, reportedly due to concerns regarding lower-leg injuries and a negative perception about his attitude.
Fantasy Tip: Crabtree is a dynamic playmaker when he's at full health. It remains to be seen where he'll end up before the start of the 2015 season, but he has WR2 potential in all scoring formats as long as he stays on the field.

San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick has a backer in new head coach Jim Tomsula. "Statistically and all that kind of stuff, people throw those out there -- Colin had his best year, OK. Colin is working down in Arizona. He's a great dude. He's a real good dude. He's a good teammate. He's a neat cat. Colin's going to do real well. Colin's a great football player and even better person. We're really excited about Colin," Tomsula said.
Fantasy Tip: Kaepernick had a career-high 3,369 yards passing in 2014, but he also threw less touchdowns (19) and more interceptions (10) than he did in 2013. It's clear that he needs to become more accurate and a much better pocket passer in order to have continued success in the NFL. He could be a sleeper in 2015, though, and he should be drafted as a QB2 with upside for more.

San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick spent five days a week working out, watching film and fine-tuning his mechanics during a 10-week offseason session with quarterback coaches Dennis Gile and Mike Giovando. "I don't think there was a throw he couldn't make when he first got here," Gile said "I just think the consistency and efficiency of it was what we wanted to get better at, and I think that's where we made tremendous strides. He became a lot more consistent and efficient with those balls."
Fantasy Tip: Kaepernick will be a mid-to-low QB1 target in traditional drafts in 2015.
