Fantasy Tip: Carrier ($3,700; 7.4% of your cap) is a basement option in FantasyScore. Use him if you need the cap space elsewhere.

San Francisco 49ers TE Vernon Davis (ankle, knee) could be a game-time decision for Week 3. Davis said he was encouraged with how he felt after some light running and catching drills Friday, Sept. 19.
Fantasy Tip: Davis probably would be limited if he is active for the game. Davis costs $7,400 on FantasyScore this week, but owners should look to spend their money on a healthier tight end.

Fantasy Tip: At $7400, or 14.8 percent of your FantasyScore salary, Davis is much too risky to start in Week 3. He very well could be sidelined. In fact, with Vance McDonald also hurting, Derek Carrier could make the start. At $3700, or just 7.4 percent of FantasyScore salary, he is a nice sleeper if he gets the nod.

Fantasy Tip: Kaepernick is a mid-tier salary guy in FantasyScore ($7500 or 15.0 percent of your salary) for Week 3, or the 14th-highest priced QB on the board. The Cardinals are allowing 249 passing yards per game through two games, so Kaepernick could exceed salary expectations Sunday.

Fantasy Tip: Hyde is a relatively inexpensive option ($4500 or 9.0 percent of salary) in FantasyScore leagues. He won't see a ton of touches as long as Frank Gore is healthy, but Hyde does get the ball near the goalline. If you want to save salary to spread across other positions, he isn't a terrible RB2 or flex option.

San Francisco 49ers CB Tramaine Brock (toe), OT Anthony Davis (hamstring), C Marcus Martin (knee) and TE Vance McDonald (knee) did not practice Friday, Sept. 19. Martin is listed as out for the Week 3 game against the Arizona Cardinals, while the other three are considered questionable. OT Joe Staley (knee) was limited in practice, and he is listed as probable. DE Justin Smith (non-injury related) was a full participant Friday, and he is probable for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Kaepernick should be able to play in Week 3 despite the injury. Kaepernick costs $7,500 on FantasyScore this week, and owners could consider using him since he can produce with his arm and legs.

Fantasy Tip: Davis has missed the last two practices and may need to sit out this week. With the team's top two tight ends injured, Derek Carrier probably would receive the start but should not be an option in any league.

Fantasy Tip: Davis' status for Week 3 is uncertain, but FantasyScore owners probably want to avoid him until he can officially return and prove his health in one full game without any setbacks. With Vance McDonald also hurting, Derek Carrier could potentially be in line for a start.
