Fantasy Tip: Woodhead will have plenty of company in the backfield with highly-touted rookie Melvin Gordon in the mix, as well as Branden Oliver. Woodhead should reprise the role of third-down back and red-zone option, making him a decent late-round addition as a potential flex play.

Fantasy Tip: Allen only managed 783 yards and 4 touchdowns in his second year. He didn't see a lot separation from defenders, which is the reason why he's trying to become faster. Encouragingly, Allen was targeted 121 times and caught 77 passes in 2014, both up from his rookie campaign. If he can get closer to his rookie numbers, he could end up as a WR2.

Fantasy Tip: Johnson should have a solid role in the offense since he signed a three-year deal with the team this offseason. It is a good sign that he is building chemistry with Rivers, and he could be a late-round option in fantasy leagues this season.

San Diego Chargers CB Brandon Flowers (undisclosed) sat out of practices this month with a minor injury, but he said he'd be ready for training camp. Flowers signed a four-year deal with $20.5 million guaranteed this offseason.

San Diego Chargers TE Ladarius Green may be more involved in the offense this year, according to QB Philip Rivers. "I hope and I think we all agree that he needs to be a bigger part of [the offense] as we move forward this year," Rivers said. "We need to have him be a weapon for us because he'll be a heck of a matchup for us on some defenses."
Fantasy Tip: Green was one of the bigger, if not the biggest, fantasy disappointments at tight end last year. He was supposed to take the baton from Antonio Gates, but Gates is the one that produced. Gates will still be the San Diego tight end to own in 2015, but Green is a great handcuff and has the potential to break out.

San Diego Chargers RB Danny Woodhead said he wants to be the same person this season as he was before suffering a season-ending broken ankle in Week 3 last year. "I think I am [the same person]. That's the main thing -- getting comfortable and going out and doing it, and then showing yourself that you can do it again," Woodhead said. Head coach Mike McCoy praised Woodhead's work ethic and isn't surprised he's ready to play again.
Fantasy Tip: Woodhead's specialty is catching balls out of the backfield. He has three top-25 finishes in point-per-reception leagues since 2011. He could very well have had another one if he hadn't been injured last season. If he can maintain his good health, he's a low-end RB2 candidate in PPR formats.

Fantasy Tip: Gordon should have no problem seizing the lead back role in San Diego, and he should be considered a mid-range RB2.

Fantasy Tip: Woodhead is worth a late-round flier on draft day, but he’ll have plenty of competition for touches in the San Diego backfield with Melvin Gordon, Branden Oliver and Donald Brown in the mix.

Fantasy Tip: Floyd should have a solid role in the passing game this season, but it is not known if he will start for the Chargers. Floyd could be a late-round option in standard leagues this upcoming season but has more value in standard leagues than in point-per-reception leagues.
