Fantasy Tip: Brown will continue to be one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and should be a first-round option in all fantasy leagues.
Mon, 27 Feb 2017 14:55:07 -0800
Fantasy Tip: There's no denying Brown's elite status. He should arguably be the first receiver taken in fantasy drafts, and possibly the first player. He has back-to-back seasons of at least 100 catches, so give him added value in PPR formats.

Fantasy Tip: Brown deserves to be the highest paid receiver in the NFL because he's the best all-around receiver in the NFL. Not only that, he's the best receiver for fantasy football. Brown is an early-first round consideration once again this year, with added value in PPR leagues.

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell was given the exclusive franchise tag Monday, Feb. 27, meaning he cannot negotiate with other teams. The tag will earn Bell at least $12 million for 2017.
Fantasy Tip: As has been stated previously, Bell should be one of the first players taken in fantasy drafts in 2017 as long as he is healthy. The Steelers could rely on him even more if they feel Ben Roethlisberger is regressing.

Fantasy Tip: No surprise here. Bell could end up being a Steeler for the remainder of his career. He's one of the most skilled running backs in football and should be one of the first running backs, and players, taken in fantasy drafts this year.

Fantasy Tip: There's no way the Steelers are going to let their star running back leave Pittsburgh. Look for Bell to play this year under the tag while both sides hammer out a long-term deal. Bell should be one of the first three to five players taken in fantasy drafts as long as he's healthy.

Fantasy Tip: AB is one of the best players in fantasy, and that shouldn't change with the security of a big contract. He'll be a name to ponder early in the first round.

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent RB Le'Veon Bell has not made much progress in contract talks with the Steelers and likely will receive the franchise tag if the two sides are not able to reach an agreement before the deadline.
Fantasy Tip: Bell should be with the Steelers for at least one more year and should continue to be a focal point in their offense. He likely will be a top five pick in all fantasy leagues and will be a weekly starting option.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell (groin) is not scheduled to undergo groin surgery at this time even though he met with doctors after the season, according to a source. Bell probably would have had surgery by now if it was necessary.
Fantasy Tip: Bell likely will rehab the injury during the offseason and could be limited during workouts but should be fine for training camp. He probably will receive the franchise tag from the Steelers or sign a long-term contract. He continues to be one of the best running backs in the NFL and should be a weekly starting option in fantasy leagues.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton is not expected to be back with the team next season, "unless he has no other decent offers and returns for minimum salary," according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Fantasy Tip: Wheaton will become an unrestricted free agent March 9, but no matter where he lands, he shouldn't even be considered as a potential draft pick in deep leagues. The 26-year-old was limited to just three games this past season due to a shoulder ailment, registering only four receptions for 51 yards. He should get a shot with some other NFL club, though.
