Steelers | Jesse James able to finish up

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 17:08:50 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Jesse James (shoulder) finished with two receptions for 19 yards on four targets in the Week 3 game against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Tip: James left the game due to a shoulder injury, but he was able to return and finish up. Unfortunately for fantasy owners he didn't do much. He'll try to rebound in Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens, a team which was rolled for three touchdowns by Jacksonville Jaguars TE Marcede Lewis in London in Week 3.

Steelers | JuJu Smith-Schuster targeted six times

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 17:08:23 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster caught two balls for 39 yards on six targets in the Week 3 game against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Tip: The rookie out of Southern California was targeted frequently and he appears to be the No. 3 receiver in the Steel City behind Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant. He is worth a look in deeper fantasy leagues and as a long-term prospect.

Steelers | Two grabs for Martavis Bryant

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 17:07:55 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant posted two receptions for 30 yards on eight targets in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Tip: Ben Roethlisberger looked for Bryant early and often, but the two only connected on 25 percent of Bryant's targets. He'll look for a much better conversion rate in Week 4 against a Baltimore Ravens pass defense which was minced up in London by the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars.

Steelers | Antonio Brown posts 110 yards, TD

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 17:07:26 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown gathered 10 receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Tip: Brown had a giant game in Week 1 with 11 receptions and 182 yards, but this was his first visit to the end zone in 2017. He already has two games with 10 or more receptions, which is even more pleasing to PPR fantasy owners than those in standard leagues. The Steelers face the Ravens in Week 4 in Baltimore.

Steelers | Le'Veon Bell totals 98 yards, score

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 17:06:59 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell carried 15 times for 61 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears and he added six receptions for 37 yards on seven receptions.

Fantasy Tip: Bell didn't have a monster day, but it was easily his most productive of the season from a fantasy perspective. He'll look to keep things trending in the right direction heading into Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Steelers | Ben Roethlisberger struggles in Chicago

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 17:06:20 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger completed 22 of his 39 pass attempts for 235 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears. He was sacked three times in the loss and he lost a fumble.

Fantasy Tip: Roethlisberger still hooked up with Antonio Brown 10 times and moved the offense, but his numbers were under average against a Chicago defense which was torched last week in Tampa. Big Ben will look to rebound in Week 4 in Baltimore against a pass defense which was toasted in London by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Steelers | Jesse James leaves game

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 11:11:03 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Jesse James (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury in Week 3 and is considered questionable to return.

Fantasy Tip: Vance McDonald would take over the starting tight end job if James is sidelined for an extended period of time but should not be a fantasy option at this point.

Steelers | Le'Veon Bell ready for big game?

Sat, 23 Sep 2017 20:47:54 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell is ready to return to form in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears, according to C Maurkice Pouncey and OG David DeCastro. "We have to do a better job of locking on guys and making sure he can get one-on-one and most of the time he beats that guy," Pouncey said.

Fantasy Tip: Even if Bell continues to struggle with efficiency against the Bears, the promise of a huge workload as Pittsburgh's lead back should ensure a decent stat line. Continue to treat him as a RB1.

Steelers | Jesse James not on injury report

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 12:25:15 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Jesse James (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 22, and is not in the injury report for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: James likely will receive a few targets against the Chicago Bears this week and will be a weapon if the team is close to the end zone. Owners probably can find more consistent options to use in their lineups and can keep James on the bench.

Steelers | Ben Roethlisberger ready to play

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 12:18:18 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 22, and is not in the injury report for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Roethlisberger has struggled on the road over the last few seasons but has a chance to play better since all of his pass catchers will be available. He will be facing a Chicago Bears defense that has allowed 502 passing yards in the first two games. Owners in deeper leagues can consider Roethlisberger as a low-end No. 1 quarterback.
