Pittsburgh Steelers WR Markus Wheaton could be Pittsburgh's breakout player this year, according to QB Ben Roethlisberger. WR Martavis Bryant (elbow) recently underwent an elbow procedure, giving Wheaton the opportunity to prove himself as the Steelers' No. 2 wide receiver.
Fantasy Tip: Wheaton has taken a backseat to Bryant this offseason, at least as far as hype is concerned. With Bryant's injury and Roethlisberger's comments, Wheaton's average draft position could see an increase. He's worth a look at least as a fifth wide receiver.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Landry Jones had another excellent practice Monday, Aug. 3, and it looks like he'll start against the Minnesota Vikings Sunday, Aug. 9, with QB Ben Roethlisberger sitting out. Jones hasn't dressed for a game since he was drafted by the Steelers in 2013. QB Bruce Gradkowski (arm) continues to sit out with "arm fatigue."

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown is unlikely to return punts in the Hall of Fame Game Sunday, Aug. 9, but he'll likely do it the following weekend, and the team has every intention of keeping him in the punt returner role unless any of the other candidates excels in the job. Brown likes returning punts and wants to continue doing so.
Fantasy Tip: Brown can be even more valuable to owners in leagues that award punt and kick return yardage. As long as Big Ben is around and guiding Pittsburgh's offense, Brown is one of the most dynamic and valuable fantasy receivers to own.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Eli Rogers (foot) may have cut short his chances of making the roster. He was trying to make the team as a slot receiver and punt returner, and he caught the eye of QB Ben Roethlisberger throughout spring practices.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Eli Rogers has created some buzz in the opening days of training camp. He's buried behind WRs Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant and C.J. Goodwin at one receiver spot on the depth chart.

Fantasy Tip: Many have speculated Bryant would overtake Wheaton opposite of Brown, but it hasn't happened yet. Bryant has WR3 fantasy value, but an elbow infection slowed him. He'll need to prove he'll have a big role in the offense before we're comfortable spending that high of a pick on him.

Pittsburgh Steelers CB Senquez Golson (shoulder) told ESPN Monday, Aug. 3, he might need surgery on an injured shoulder, and he will find out in the next few days. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Golson could undergo season-ending surgery.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant (elbow) will undergo a procedure for an elbow infection that will cause him to miss the Hall of Fame Game Sunday, Aug. 9, against the Minnesota Vikings. He is expected to be sidelined for seven to 10 days because of an infection caused by an ingrown hair.
Fantasy Tip: Fortunately, this does not appear to be a serious injury for Bryant. His role in the Pittsburgh offense should grow this season and he's worth taking a gamble on as a WR3.
