Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant is expecting to hear back from the NFL soon in regards to his reinstatement from a year-long suspension for multiple violations of the league's substance abuse policy. Per the Beaver County Times' Chris Bradford, a league source told the paper on Wednesday, March 29, that Bryant's reinstatement is "imminent." According to Bryant's agents, the receiver has added 25 pounds of muscle and is in "excellent condition".
Fantasy Tip: Owners should know to believe the "25 pounds of muscle" comment when they see it with their own eyes. Bryant has tremendous upside, but he is obviously hard to trust considering he is played a total of 21 of a possible 48 regular-season games since becoming a Steeler in 2014. If he keeps out of trouble following is likely reinstatement, he should be a considered a high-risk, high-reward WR4 in fantasy.

Fantasy Tip: Big Ben threw out some mild retirement shockwaves in the media, but he'll be in the midst of the midrange or upper-middle QB1 portions in fantasy.

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin think it's a "very reasonable discussion when you get 35," referring to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's retirement talk, but ultimately, he feels people "probably read too much into it" and "are making more out of than what it is."
Fantasy Tip: He's probably right, as it seems more likely than not that Roethlisberger will indeed be back for the 2017 campaign, especially considering that the 13-year veteran has been consistently excellent over the past handful of seasons. In fact, Big Ben has topped 3,800 passing yards in four consecutive years after reaching that plateau only twice previously. Fantasy owners can still look at him as their potential QB1.

Fantasy Tip: Roethlisberger has said he is leaning towards playing but has not made an official decision, so owners should monitor the situation. The Steelers could consider adding a quarterback during the 2017 NFL draft even if Roethlisberger returns. He would be a No. 1 fantasy quarterback if he continues to play.

Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert said the team is confident that LB Vince Williams will be able to take over the starting inside linebacker job after LB Lawrence Timmons signed with the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: Bell probably will not do much during offseason workouts and could be limited during training camp but should be fine for Week 1. Bell is one of the top running backs in the NFL when he is healthy and will be a first-round pick in all fantasy drafts.

Fantasy Tip: Even if the 11-year veteran does return to Pittsburgh, he shouldn't be targeted in any drafts, as his only meaningful production the past two seasons came while Le'Veon Bell was absent. Going into 2017, Bell doesn't have any suspension looming and should be healthy going into Week 1, therefore making Williams virtually useless in fantasy leagues.

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Jesse James failed to register consecutive weeks after the first two games of the 2016 season in which he produced 20 or more receiving yards, despite playing in all 16 contests and starting 13 of them.
Fantasy Tip: James was a sleeper pick by some going into last year but disappointed mightily, as he accumulated only 39 catches for 338 yards and three touchdowns -- with all of those scores occurring in the first five weeks of the campaign. He has no excuse, too, as Ladarius Green missed 10 games, yet James still couldn't capitalize. The 22-year-old can't be trusted in fantasy as long as Green remains in Pittsburgh.
