Pittsburgh Steelers TE Ladarius Green (concussion) is not expected to play in the AFC Championship Game Sunday, Jan. 22, against the New England Patriots, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Ed Bouchette.
Fantasy Tip: Green is still in the NFL's concussion protocol, so this declaration seems more likely to occur than not at this point, especially given the former Charger's history with concussions. With Green probably remaining on the sidelines, Jesse James will slide back into the starting tight end spot and offer solid value for DFS lineups this weekend.

Fantasy Tip: The Steelers were wise and fed Bell the ball throughout his 12 games. Bell, David Johnson and Ezekiel Elliott each deserve to be the first running back taken in fantasy drafts, but Bell and Johnson have more value in PPR formats.

Fantasy Tip: Not much can be said about Brown's accolades that haven't already been said. He's the best receiver in the league and he proves it year after year. His high volume of catches makes him more valuable in PPR leagues, but he should be the first receiver taken in both PPR and standard leagues.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant applied for reinstatement Tuesday, Jan. 17, according to a source. Bryant will not be able to return for the playoffs, but he could return for the 2017 regular season.
Fantasy Tip: Bryant's size, speed and deep-play ability would give the Steelers yet another offensive weapon. Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell will still be the focal points of Pittsburgh's offense if Bryant is reinstated, but Bryant should not be overlooked. He tallied 765 yards and six touchdowns in 2015 despite playing in just 11 games.

Fantasy Tip: Green has been sidelined since Week 15, although Tomlin said he had a chance to play in the Divisional Round before ultimately being ruled out. Although Jesse James had a fine game last week, the Steelers could really use all hands on deck in the AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots after failing to score a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs. Owners should consider him highly questionable at best.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown may be fined for violating the NFL's social media policy for his post-game live stream in the Steelers' locker room. League policy prohibits players from posting messages on social media 90 minutes before kickoff through post-game interviews.
Fantasy Tip: Other than a possible fine, don't expect harsh repercussions from Brown's post-game gaffe. He's the best receiver in the NFL and should be the first receiver taken in fantasy drafts next season, particularly in PPR leagues.

Fantasy Tip: With Pittsburgh's lack of receiving depth (Antonio Brown and Eli Rogers), James has emerged as a quality pass-catching candidate. Assuming he still is in the Steelers' plans for 2017, James can be thought of as a low-end TE1 option in 2017 drafts.

Fantasy Tip: Brown is quickly becoming the linchpin of the Steelers' receiving game and is a solid WR1 as long as Ben Roethlisberger remains healthy at quarterback.
Sun, 15 Jan 2017 21:36:57 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Roethlisberger ranks as a QB2 mostly because of his injury history, but he will get a shot at elite status again when he faces the New England Patriots in next week's AFC championship game. Roethlisberger wasn't playing earlier this season when Pittsburgh lost to New England in the regular season.

Fantasy Tip: Yardage leagues would have gained many points from Bell's performance, but don't let that discourage you from including Bell among RB1 or RB2 selections for next season. Assuming Bell keeps his nose clean and stays away from substances, he should be setting himself up well for a good payday and a strong 2017.

Pittsburgh Steelers K Chris Boswell booted six field goals Sunday, Jan. 15, during the team's 18-16 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. He set an NFL playoff record. The previous record of five was set by a long list of kickers, including Matt Bahr, Steve Christie, John Kasay, and Adam Vinatieri.
Fantasy Tip: Considering the weather conditions were not the best in this game, with rain and dreary conditions, this is a pretty good accomplishment. Look for Boswell to be among the PK1 selections in fantasy drafts next year.
