Eagles | Jamaal Charles an option for Eagles?

Sat, 25 Feb 2017 11:42:34 -0800

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles could be an option for the Philadelphia Eagles if he is released by the Chiefs, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Tim McManus. The Eagles will be looking to add at running back this offseason and Charles has worked with head coach Doug Pederson when Pederson was the offensive coordinator of the Chiefs.

Fantasy Tip: Charles is expected to be available in free agency and may not be able to find a starting job because of his recent injury history. He would be part of a committee if he signed with the Eagles but likely would have a solid role in the offense. He will be a risky option for owners but could be a No. 3 fantasy running back depending on his role.

Eagles | Mychal Kendricks unhappy with role

Thu, 23 Feb 2017 08:04:48 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks was unhappy with his role last season and played just 27 percent of the defensive snaps last season. He rushed the quarterback just nine times. The team would have to eat $4.8 million of his $6.6 million salary if he is released.

Eagles | Bennie Logan not expected back in Philly

Tue, 21 Feb 2017 09:32:57 -0800

Impending free-agent DT Bennie Logan is likely to find a better deal from someone other than the Philadelphia Eagles next month, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Zach Berman. The Eagles have already handed out expensive second contracts to fellow defensive linemen Fletcher Cox, Vinny Curry, Brandon Graham and Connor Barwin.

Sun, 19 Feb 2017 08:09:06 -0800

Eagles | Trey Burton likely to stick in Philly

Fri, 17 Feb 2017 13:20:18 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles TE Trey Burton is likely to remain with the club entering the 2017 season. He is a restricted free agent that Philadelphia values for both his growing presence in the offense and ongoing role as one of the team's best special-teams players. Additionally, he's "developed a close bond" with QB Carson Wentz. The Eagles have the option to keep him by giving him a tender, which Burton is "likely" to play on and be a restricted free agent next offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Burton somewhat surprised this past year in his third NFL campaign, accumulating 37 catches for 327 yards and a score, after registering only three receptions in his first two seasons combined. Burton flashed some notable potential on some weeks, but as long as Zach Ertz remains ahead of him on the depth chart, it would be very tough to try and trust him regularly.

Eagles | Eagles expected to keep Brent Celek

Fri, 17 Feb 2017 13:18:59 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles TE Brent Celek is likely to remain with the team going into the 2017 season. The Eagles like his contributions on the field and around the facility, plus his durability. He'll count $5 million against the cap, but Philadelphia would only save $1 million by releasing him.

Fantasy Tip: Celek's best days are far behind him, as the 32-year-old is coming off a campaign in which he registered the fewest receptions (14) and receiving yards (155 yards) of his 10-year career. Oh, and it was also his first season without scoring a single touchdown. Celek would need an injury or two above him on the depth chart to even merit consideration for a roster spot.

Eagles | DeSean Jackson headed back to Philly?

Sun, 12 Feb 2017 16:23:59 -0800

Washington Redskins impending free-agent WR DeSean Jackson's potential return to the Philadelphia Eagles is talked about as a "certainty" by several teams, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson can be a little too dependent on big plays at times, and regardless of where he plays in 2017, he should be viewed as a high-risk, high-reward WR3.

Eagles | Eagles targeting Alshon Jeffery

Fri, 10 Feb 2017 12:58:10 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery has drawn interest from the Philadelphia Eagles, according to "several league sources."

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery is about to become a free agent and it would make a lot of sense that he's linked to Philadelphia, who desperately need to add a big-time receiver for rising young quarterback Carson Wentz. The five-year veteran endured his most disappointing campaign since his rookie season, marred by a four-game PED-related suspension, but could be an outstanding buy-low candidate across all leagues if he were to end up an Eagle. Jeffery is still capable of at least providing WR2 value.

Eagles | Jason Peters may have to take pay cut

Tue, 07 Feb 2017 20:14:37 -0800

Eagles | Carson Wentz ready for more

Fri, 03 Feb 2017 21:15:58 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz said he is "excited" to have quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo back in 2017 and expects the continuity to lead to more growth.

Fantasy Tip: Wentz closed his rookie year on a high note, and while he can't be expected to reach QB1 status yet, he is one of the more intriguing prospect in keeper formats and a QB2 in redraft leagues.

Eagles | Kenny Stills on Eagles' wish list

Thu, 02 Feb 2017 05:52:45 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent WR Kenny Stills will be pursued by the Philadelphia Eagles if he becomes a free agent, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Stills had a 42-726-9 line in what was a really good season. Entering his fifth year, he's just going to be 25 years old, and there could be more in the tank. He's more valuable in non-PPR leagues because he has averaged just 41 catches in four years, and he's on the WR3/WR4 apex in most formats.
